I pay right at $200/month, but that includes my Vette, renter's insurance, and a special rider on a wristwatch I own in addition to the Vibe. One thing that surprised me was my rates actually went UP $10/month when I traded in my 2500HD Silverado big-(removed) truck for the Vibe. Surprised me.

Mine is deducted right from my paycheck and I get a discount for doing it that way. It's about $35 every two weeks so that works out to about $455 every 6 months.

Mine is about $91/mo. In July it will go up to $101/mo. I have AAA Michigan insurance. I'm 24, I have multi-car discount for the household, and I get it discounted because of automatic checking account deduction.-valjean

For my Base Vibe, $500 deductable, Full coverage, $212 every 6 months. That's about $35.34 per month.I'm 45, and haven't had a speeding ticket or insurance claim in 20 years. That helps.KSNeptune

Insurance is not insurance. Need to look at coverage and location. In Columbus, OH I have $500,000 single limit bodily injury and property damage liability, $500,000 uninsured/underinsured, $5,000 med pay, $500 ded collisision, $50 ded comprehensive and a $22/day loss of use (which is useless - think I'll cancel that next time), pleasure or under 3 mi to work/school. My '03 Vibe is $663 and my '01 PT Cruiser $607 per year. I think the PT got an antitheft device discount that wasn't on the Vibe as I didn;t buy the security system. For $119/year I also carry an additional $1 mil liability personal umbrella which covers a lot of things in addition to auto.I think that the Vibe must be cheap to insure relative to other vehicles.

I got this from fatwallet forum:
http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/message ... 146448many are getting great deal on Costco's auto insurance. the insurer is American Express. You have to be in U.S and Costco members. You can quote it online.I just quoted online and bought insurance with Costco, saved $600 (down to $1600) a year on 4 cars. Give them a try, if you got a better deal, pls post it here.hope this helps

It all depends on the area in which you live, down here in Miami we pay $3400 every six months. For one 50 year old female driving a 2001 Monte Carlo SS, a 57 year old male driving a 98 Bonville, and a 22 year old male (me) driving the Vibe. We have high limits cause we own a house but besides the point I think anywhere else it would be cheaper. Also no claims in the last 6 years, none from me. So if you dont want to pay high insurance dont move down to Miami.

I'm insured through Allstate. I'm not sure of all the specifics but I know I have a $500 deductible. I'm 21 and my premium was about $180 a month for full coverage but then it jumped to around $250 when the policy renewed. The explanation? "Oh, we had the Vibe classified as one type of vehicle but changed it to a different class - which was the reason of the increase". Ugh. I'm trying to get it back down. $250 a month is just crazy! (And that's with many discounts applied to the policy - including a multiple car discount)

$350 Cdn a month for 2001 Montana and 2003 Vibe. I'm 46 no accidents, my wife is 44, I have a 17 yr old son who got his G1 license in august. He is listed as the second driver. My insurance went up $100 a month because he passed his test!To have him as a primary driver on the Vibe would be $8000 a year.We can thank no fault insurance which benefits the scam artists. We are the ones who pay for them.

Hi:How much will cost for a Vibe in NJ to be insured? I know NJ has a not so pleasant reputation when it comes to car insurance.I hope at least get an every six months plan instead of a monthly payment.

My GT costs US$314.20 for 6 months of very good coverage -- man, some of you are getting gouged! Maybe you should move to small-town Oregon? We insure both cars and a house through State Farm, so the multi-policy discount helps. If my teenage kids went to school near home the policy would cost twice as much, so that big tuition does have some benefits...
