Has anyone upgraded to IE7 yet? If so what do you think about it?

We aren't allowed to use it at work - they've disabled that option from the automatic updates so that no one downloads it inadvertently.

I like it as the best ie ever but i like the customizational options firefox or any other browser can give you. I still run ie7 only because some of the schools webpages or my websites i visit need ie.

I have IE7 on my Vista system. Everything else is running 6 because of ActiveX compatibility. 7 is okay. It's like a wannabe firefox..Though my main browser remains Firefox. And IETab is one of my best friends.

We made the mistake of installing IE 7 at work. Several problems, most significantly, if we tried to print an html format email from Outlook, only the text would print, none of the message header. My systems guy called M$ on this one, the woman he spoke to admitted they "forgot" to fix this before release. Also, it installed its own group policy on our server, such that every time we print to a network printer a dialog balloon pops up to tell us the document did not print - but it does print. Have to close the stupid balloon manually.Have rolled back to 6, still dealing with the pop up balloon issue. Also, I found out on Friday it wiped out my Windows Media Player 10 installation, now I have 11 and I can't get list-type view of all songs. Also needs to revalidate all my song licenses! In short, a typical M$ experience. Buggy out of the box, arrogantly makes unwanted and unexpected changes to your system, and impossible to fully remove and get back to where you where.Just to confirm, I don't like it.

The evil minnions at Microsoft have decided not to develop IE 7 for Windows 2000, so it was Firefox before, and Firefox it will remain.

I have it and like it, no problems and I won't go back to earlier versions. very stable, I like the tabs and slew of options over the other versions.

It sucksWas that simple enough? Just seems they ripped off anything they could from the Firefox project and stuck it onto IE 6, along with a bunch of crap code that messes up computers. My workplace too has banned it from the network (hospital), as it borks up the computer and creates network vulnerabilites.Firefox with IE tab extension installed is by far the best way to go

Microsoft's a wee bit late to the party with the whole multiple document interface (tabbed browsing) thing. Opera had them beat by over a decade. But now since M$ has adopted this very useful (and impossible to live without once you've had it) technology, I guess they now get to say they innovated it. I dunno, they can keep IE7. It looks horrible, IMHO - the look and feel of the browser just isn't right. I'm sure many have a differing opinion, like one guy at work who actually said it was "aesthetically pleasing." Of course he also enjoys looking at that horrid Fisher Price interface on xpee... Fortunately, I only have to deal with Windows at work. Most are still on 6, but the few that are on 7 haven't been right ever since. I wish they'd come up with a policy to not allow its installation too. When I'm there, I'm still going to stick by my Opera and Firefox... Good stuff.

How do you make IE6 better?By releasing IE7, which is so much WORSE than 6, that the masses revert to 6, because it becomes better than the alternative! It's horrid. And my computer keeps yelling at me to install it. No matter how many times I say no.

Now, the BEST browser by far is Lynx. 'cause if you haven't been cruisin' from the console, you haven't been cruisin'. lol!I tried to use IE 7 today as hooray, someone installed it on the PC where I was temporarily stationed. I don't understand their design philosophy... Put this big button here, put this small button there, put different shapes here than you did there, then a dash of differnet coloring and backgrounds for the buttons to add inconsistency. I'm sure they were trying to move things around based on what people would use most often, but IMHO the end result is an interface that gives the general impression of being cobbeled together. Bits and pieces of itself clash! And I had to laugh when it told me "Welcome to tabbed browsing" when I opened a new tab. Yeah, such a new concept.

Actually, using it lately on Vista I notice it crashes quite often. At least five times a day.I don't have that problem with Firefox.

Oh wow, I found a new feature in this piece of crap... How pretty, you can keep tabs on all your tabs! So with one click of a button, you can see what pr0n is on what tab! Or maybe to check out all the different sites that are hijacking your browser or installing dirty crap all at the same time! lol!I'm surprised I didn't crash it, I opened up like eleventeen thousand windows. Man, the more I use this browser, the uglier it gets... Why couldn't they take the extra day or two to develop a more appealing interface? lol!
