There have been so many great TV shows that were cancelled when they shouldn't have been. Some shows don't even make it through the first damn season! Here's your chance to rant about the shows you loved, but were cancelled -- for no good reason. My list:Still StandingBoston PublicConvictionSix DegreesLAX

The Book of Daniel on NBC - only a few episodes aired and then it got pulled because of questionable content. It was a great show though.

Firefly - 14 episodes not even close to enough. I'll never forgive Fox.Tru Calling - Story was getting a little strained, but still interesting.Dead Like Me - Fantastic story lines, never got old or tired.Futurama - Who doesn't love this show.Dark Angel - Jessica Alba in a spandex catsuit kicking (removed). Need I say more?Stargate SG-1 - Story getting strained after 10 years, but they could have at least finished the story line. Those are just he ones I can think of off the top of my head right now.

My personal favorite was "Freaks and Geeks". Great writing and acting. Although I was a little bit younger than these characters in the 1970s, the situations and problems that occurred are timeless. Plus the writer based it upon his growing up in metro-Detroit in 1970's.Mike

I definately have to agree with Futurama. It was a great show. But I was upset that they cacelled the show "Over There" about the soldiers in Iraq. I was in Iraq when it came out, and we had a friend that would record the show and send us DVD's of it, and we watched it for a while, and then it just was cancelled. How upsetting.

oh boy, a topic I can embracedead like me ConvictionLove Monkey3 lbsCommander in ChiefNBC is a HUGE offender, followed closely by CBS, and then Fox, ABC usually tried to go on to the bitter end with a show, but they will move stuff around until even Tivo can't find it.Why cancel a show after 3 episodes? That's really not giving it a chance to find it's groove.More info on cancelled shows can be found HERE......http://www.tvseriesfinale.com/....html

Oh yeah forgot about Freaky Links on Fox in 2000. It was a X-Files type show about 4 young adults who ran a website dedicated to uncovering paranormal events. Good show that only lasted 13 episodes. The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. was also another good one. Bruce Campbell is one of America's finest character actors. A national treasure, if you will. I will second Surface. Love it when they leave us on a cliffhanger and then cancel the show.

It seems that a bunch of shows I really liked all get cancelled, or have really short runs.Maybe I could be hired as an ANTI-Nielsen ratings guide or something. If I like it, its guaranteed to be shortlived. My List:SledgehammerPolice SquadDead Like MeThird Watch (it did get a little predictable near the end)Dark AngelTitusBrisco County (I forgot about that one)How long before these get cancelled?HeroesSupernaturalMediumMy Name is EarlUgly Betty

Boston Public - well written and not afraid of off topic story linesSurface Dark AngelJoan of ArcadiaLove Monkey - glad to see I'm not the only one to miss this onehow soon ?the Lost - (removed) is up with a 3 month hiatus ? seems like ABC is trying to kill it off and they're killing off the cool characters. Mr Eko ?? he was one of the better charactersJericho - just as it really starts to hit stride, off it goes .. (removed)

Oh I LOVED "Love Monkey"--CBS barely gave that one a chance! At least VH1 played the remaining episodes, so I have them all on DVR--great show. "Boston Public" was great too, and I also miss "Ed". (HUGE Tom Cavanaugh fan). I've been in to "The Nine" lately and I heard it got cancelled also. If you want a show to have a good run, make sure I don't watch it, because all the ones I love get the ax.

Jericho hasn't been cancelled yet. I believe it returns next year in January to make it a full season. I believe The Nine is the same way. Just the Fall finales. Unless something has come out in the last few days that I am not aware of.I used to watch John Doe as well, Sci-Fi channel has been showing reruns of it ever once in a while and it is just not as good now as I remember it being back then.

I'm just gonna focus on shows that lasted two seasons or less:Firefly - I admit I never saw an episode when it broadcast, but that's not necessariy a bad thing since they did them in the wrong order. Thank goodness someone thought enough of it to put it on DVD.Stark Raving Mad - Tony Shaloub and Neal Patrick Harris headlined this hilarious comedy on NBC. Fortunately, we got all the episodes on tape (except one). We laugh like crazy during each episode, then stomp around and hurl insults at the NBC suits when done.Invasion - My wife liked this far more than I, but I think if the story lines could have been stripped down to just one or two it would have made a fine 4-5 season series.Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip - If you liked The West Wing, you'll like this too. Very similar formula, which might have offended some critics, but the characters and their championship-ping-pong-dialog are great and THAT's what Sorkin's writing is really about. I'll have to kill something if they cancel Supernatural anytime soon.

Surface, while I liked the show and was sad to see it leave, I at least understood the decision to cancel it. The ratings weren't great.Invasion, on the other hand, got better ratings than some of the shows ABC decided to renew. It didn't have many top name stars or huge special effects, so it shouldn't have been overly expensive to produce. I, personally, would have put it back to back with Lost. Or, perhaps moved it over to ABC Family and run it with Kyle XY or something.

Futurama - I watch it every night on Adult SwimBeyond 2000 - Yes it is way past that now, but it was a good show about future technologies.SeaQuest DSV - My personal Favorite, I have been watching old episodes on YouTube lately )

I liked SeaQuest. Well, until they went into the future, anyway. I prefered Scheider to Ironside. But, that was just me.It would be hard to do a tv reunion movie about that now, without Jonathan Brandis.

while i admit i do like firefly and serenity, i am kinda glad it was cancelled. if it went on for too much longer it would have gotten to normal i think with episodes of mal anara together, apart, together. atleast is was cancelled before it went south, like stargate sg-1. i have been watching that since showtime first aired the episode.shows i want back, Battlestar Galactica (does an 8 month hiatius count?) SurfaceThe Others, i think it was called that. a show on NBC kinda like x-files meets outer limits. Cowboy Bebop

yup. i'd rather only 4 seasons(or less) of a show and have it end cool than what happened to stargate, and simpsons, and south park, etc. too long just makes the show lame. i can't wait to see how they explain starbuck, and the "final 5" cylons. no ways the people they claim to be cylons are.
