Well...my mom saw the numbers and such for the vibe..the dealership was giving me $2000 for my sunfire..and my mom just finished paying off about $9000 to finish off the financing last spring..so she said that it aint worth it..and i'll agree it aint..so I'm not getting the vibe..or atleast yet...maybe in the spring...but if its cool I'd like to stick around here, you guys are awesome and would love to definitly hit up a T.O. meet someday.
Used is not a bad Idea. I got mine when it was less than 2 years old, and only had 20,000 miles (not sure what that is in Km), for just over $10grand US. But if you really want new, then just take the next 4-5 months and see what happens. Who knows, maybe some great deal on the '06 will come along from a dealer trying to get rid of it or something. Either way, you have enough posts and been around the site enough to know we welcome just about any one. in the last almost year I have even seen people who don't liek the Vibe, but still hang out here cause of the people.
ya I could, but..no used vibes with the wave blue that I wanted lol..like i said, i'll just wait til the spring, and maybe by then they'll have a used bluewave vibe, and thanks for changing my username too
Bummer! for now. You could alway go with a used neptune. Here's mine when I had nice wheels on it and lowered. It has a similar look to your photochopped sig, just a darker blue :
My Fleet:
'15 Ford Fusion AWD Titanium 2.0 Tutbo
'14 Lincoln MXZ AWD 2.0 Turbo
'14 Nissan Pathfinder AWD SL
'05 Pontiac Vibe AWD
Since wave blue is new for 07, finding a used one is about as probable as GM killing off the pontiac brand (almost definitely not likely, but can't be 100% ruled out ). That being said, if you hold out until the middle/end of next year, you could probably get a solid deal on an 07 new or used, when the 08s start hitting the showrooms and the 07 clearance sales ramp up...

that's too bad, but that sunfire looks nice. There are a lot of advantages to not having a car loan. You have time, and the Vibe isn't going to disappear anytime soon. It's more important to not overburden yourself with debt that you don't need. It's ok to want a different car, but it's just a tool, it's not who you are, so of course you are welcome to hang out with us. Every page on this website has on it somewhere "The Online Community for Pontiac Vibe Enthusiasts" That describes you as much as anyone else here.
Trade-in values suck... You should consider selling it privately, for a 2000 sunfire that's in nice shape, you should be able to get at around 4000 to 5000 dollars for it (cdn, of course)..I got a grand for trade-in on my sunfire, but I jumped all over that because it so wasn't worth that much
If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to get rid of the sunfire? it looks nice, and seems to be in decent condition. Not that we all wouldn't like another Viber out there.
Good call on your Moms part. Buy a Vibe when you can pay cash for it. You will get way more vehicle for your hard earned $, if you do this thru-out your life. Don't get sucked in to the new car till you can pay for it.

$2000 hardly seems worth it for that car Buddy of mine just bought a 1998 Contour for like $5400 and fairly high milage. Your sunfire looks like it is in better condition than his why would they give you soo little?! Dealers get on my nerves big time.Anyways, definately should come out to some of the meet though with your Sunfire. Still family eh?
Wait until summer when they're trying to offload the '07s. That's how I got my 03' with 0% financing. Granted I probably could've talked down the price too, but I was young and stupid.

A dealer makes most of their money on used cars. They have to make it somewhere.. on new cars, on average a sales man makes 250$ per car. The trade in for a sunfire, 2000, 77000 miles. (common for age), pwr locks, & windows, alloys with the 2.4 engine vice 2.2. i can tell your's isn't the GT. It doesn't have the miles and miles of cladding the GT has. :Dis 2100$ And privete sell is 3100$. sorry dude. The reality is that people don't want to pay for used american cars... it's sad..try seling it privately, but don't over price it. Good uck to you sir.

I understand how it works but I'm just saying, personally as a consumer I would take that sunfire over my friends Contour. I'm asuming if I feel that way others do too so.

Sorry to hear that, but that'll give you more time to drive that sweet Sunfire and save up more for a Vibe. I agree with B.C....you have to see Neptune in person...pictures don't do the color justice!

That or a Taurus SHO, I know the Trannys have some (understatement) issues, but I still like they way they drive, the power, and the fact that they are "sleeper" cars. I love sleeper cars"... All go and no show.
sorry to hear about that homie. but it does give you more time to save up for when you can get it. one thing you can do is put the $$ away every month in a seperate savings account as if you were makin payments on the vibe. then when it's time for you to get one in the spring/summer(i'd wait til late august or september for the clearance prices), you'll have a nice lil piece of change that you can use for the down payment somethin my cousin told me about down payments... depending on your credit, you might not even need a huge payment to have decent monthly payments. he qualified for zero down on a gmc truck but was gonna give em like 5k for the down payment until the salesman told him that every thousand he puts down will only drop the payment by $10 a month. so he kept the $$. so if your credit is in good enough shape, you could do the same and keep some or all of the $$ for mods so you don't hafta drive around lookin all stock like i do

thanks for the advice mr rice, i've already saved up about $500 so far in 2 weeks..so hopefully if i keep it up..i can just pay the whole car off, and hey, theirs nothing wrong with being stock..my sunfire was pretty much bone stock til the spring time(3 years) when it got lowered and rims, and after seeing some of my pics that i have when it was bone stock..i miss it sometimes
Isnt' that funy how it takes people like us that long to save up such a small amount of money, yet people like Tom Cruise and Paris Hilton blow that on Betnleys and I bet they don't even know what a piston looks like....

You still have a nice car and welcome to the site! Screw the dealer they did not want to deal or your car, too low ball of an offer and they knew it. You could sell it for three times that much on the street.
ya i know, im sure i can get atleast $7K for my car, when comparing my car to other 2000 sunfires, same options, on autotrader..that have twice as many kilometers
that is a shame. however, maybe in about 6 mos, we may have a base vibe for sale.... if we don't trade it in. we'll get more if sold in Canada though, so we're still contemplating what to do.
