Has anyone looked into finding a roof cargo carrier that fits the Vibes rack? Per the owners manual the max weight capacity is 75 lbs.

Thule has a nice basket that they say will fit the Vibe. I think it has removable cross bars so you can attache a ski or bike rack if you want. I was thinking about getting one myself. Check it out here:

I just bought one of the Thule playpen baskets. It fits very well on the stock luggage rack. And I love the looks of it, very rugged looking, atleast in my opinion. There is some wind noise, but not enough to bother me.

They said they couldn't because you could fit way too much weight into it that the Vibe cant handle. It is actually too big to open the hatch door completely, it hits the carrier half way up. I just need it for excess cargo on long trips, so it works for me since I wont overload it....much.

This basket is only about 35lbs, so I can put another 35lbs in and still be within specs.

thank you all. I will be going this afternoon to look at a Thule basket or roof container depending on what styles the store has. I was just looking in the wrong place to get this information.
