After buying my Vibe a month ago, I've found a lot of useful info here, thanksNow I'm going to join your community, not only as reader but also as writer 2K-NINE: Pontiacs have never been officially sold new in Russia, we only have Chrysler-Jeep dealers (and now they sell a first Dodge - Caliber). We have rather big customs fee for used car import, and according to law only 3-7 yrs old cars category has economically reasonable tax. It costs big money to bring here a newer (0-3) or older cars.So now, in 2006, first release Pontiac Vibes became "passing" for import in Russia. A year ago I first time have seen Vibe in Moscow, it was a real exclusive. Now I bought one (GT is much more rare here, people prefer AWD and AT), and see how number of Vibes grows by days...We haven't yet our own community, no native language sites on Vibes, but i'm sure it will be done soon. Here on Genvibe I made a topic for Russian owners (in Geography), some who won't be lazy to register will come, but cyrillic encoding is not supported by forum engine. So will use latin characters...Well, just forgot to saymy Vibe GT is from Canada, that's good because i have kilometers and celsium on cluster instead of miles and F Another plus is light sensor (not only DRL) and block engine heater. You know we have very cold winters here... Okay, that's all for the first time

Welcome to the site. Buddy moved here from Russia a few years ago. I'll have to show him, he'll get a kick out of it I'll bet you get all kinds of stares when you drive through town.

Thank you all for warm greetingsI'm going (somewhen later) to share some experience of using toyota parts (so common here, and having much lower price) for my vibe instead of shipping from USA the original GM parts. Not so useful for you over there, but maybe much helpful to outside-US owners. Also I'll post some more pics I had even an idea to photoshop especially for you some typical stereotype about Russia like this - my Vibe parked on the Red Square, near Lenin's mausoleum and the Kremlin, and a couple of bears sitting around with balalaikas and vodka

To be able to type in Cyrillic on Windows PC read this:
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/PaulGor/Else, to read Cyrillic just switch in your browser encoding to one of standard Cyrillic encodings, like KOI8-R.George2007 Vibe
