CD Player Skip

I have the Moons & Tunes Radio package with the CD player. Everything is fine but my only gripe is that the CD player is very sensitive to the slightest piece of debris or lint which will cause it to skip. How sensitive is yours?--James

Mine only skipped once on a burned CD when I drove over a pot hole.

Mine has never skipped and I have aftermarket 17" wheels/tires. They do make the ride a little more harsh compared to the factory 16" wheels/tires.

Maybe I should clairfy--It isn't the motion of the vechile that does it ,because this has happened twice while sitting parked. It skipped on a Good CD and when I removed it there was the slightest bit of "Junk" on it. I wiped it and everything was OK.Little "pieces of junk" doesn't effect my 2 home sound systems but does my Vibe. So I have to be sure that there is no lint or other junk on the CD before insertimg. So I was wondering if anyone else has this sensitivity problem? Thanks James

I suggest just going out of your way to make sure your CDs are clean before playing them. Even if a little lint or dirt doesn't make the music skip on your home CD player, it's still not good for them.I like to rent DVDs to play home. But since they've been rented by who-knows-howmany people before, I ALWAYS inspect and clean the disk before playing it. Why? Because before I started doing this about 1/2 the movies I rented would be so smeared up by popcorn oil greasy fingerprints that the wouldn't play well and my player would get screwed up.Clean your disks!KSNeptune
