My question is why is a little 7/8 year old girl doing alone at walmart in the first place? Esp. riding her bike up there. I have an 8 year old sister and shes not even allowed off our dead end road onto the neighborhood streets w/o someone...parents dont seem to have a lot of responsibility on this one.

Unfortunately not all parents are like yours. Kids and their wacky fun. Nothing like armed robbery to kill time in between school and dinner.

Anyone see the video of the cops running a wreckless driver off the road and found out it was an 8 year old girl? She "stole" the family van to go see a movie when no one wanted to take her lol. Young girls these days scare me.

As far as 'why didn't they grab her', typically retailers have a strict 'hands-off' policy. You CANNOT stop someone or touch them physically even if you know they stole something. You're supposed to approach, and either a) ask them if you can help them with something, if you see them in the act, or b) if they're out the door, approach, ask for the merchandise, and call the police. Never go after them, never try to be physical.Scary that the girl had the knife, but very glad it ended the way it did. I'm sure they'll find her from security footage and go visit her house.
