picked up NFS carbon for my son for his B-day and lo and behold the first race is with a green Toyota Matrix.

haha, no way! that's awesome. can u tell yet if it is a good game or not? the advertisements make it look really cool

its a pretty good game... just too short... im just doing drifting courses cuz they are fun.

sry to burst the bubble but theres no matrix in the game, i just checked the car list and the closest thing is a mazda speed3my roomate has the game and hes been playin iti dont like the graphics for the buildings i think nfs underground 2 was better

sure looks like the toyota emblem on the car when the car was right in front of my son. and it was a neighborhood challenge for cash not the car. even down to the shape of the front and the 1/4 glass. I'll look again but that Toyota emblem is one of a kind.I stand corrected it is a mazda.

I saw a trailer for this and it sure as heck looks like a Matrix. I'm planning on buying this for my son as well, for Christmas.

I want, but I'm unemployed and broke though, so if anyone was thinking of sending a X-Mas , NFSC for the X-360, Collector's Edition please!

Are you sure...I just beat it the other day and I didn't see any Matrices...Ill have to drive around and see if I get challenged by any.

Took the Post Office test Monday, 4 freakin hours! Then they told us it will be 8-10 wks before we get the results! Good thing if I passed it I will be at the top of the list! Disabled Veteran has it priveledges! + I get 10 extra points, too! Unfortunately that means I need to get a job to keep making the bills, which is hard looking for a full time(40hrs) job that pays decent($12/hr min)! Xmas is gonna suck this year! I still have my PSP (which I am debating selling as well), my PS2 which is in my storage in TX right now (and may go into my car someday down the road), and my 360. Let me know when you make another trip down here though so we can hang out or whatever.!

I like the drifting in Carbon, but I think Underground 2 and Most Wanted were better overall.

They need to take Gran Turismo and cross it with need for speed. The NFS series is not very realistic but the customization and sound of the engines and stuff are phenominal....Gran Turismo is rediculously realistic but there is NOTHING to customize and the car's sound so boring it's not even funny. Plus you can't even do burnouts...(removed) kinda game is that.

I hate Canyon races! The last area of this game is kicking my @$$!

I started with the foreign sports car, drove it until the middle of the second stage, but I won the Aston Martin from the 1st guy, also won the RX-7 but it's crap, so right now still driving the AM. i got carbon aswell..i didnt like it as much as the others..not sure why tho..but i loved the canyon races..really glad they took the drag races out..

yea most of those drag races were a royal pain in the (removed)

Personally I loved the drag races. They were an easy way to make cash...unlike the circuits that were like 6 laps and it never failed, you would ALLWAYS get passed on the last lap and end up losing...waste of time, I broke a few controllers during the circuits in underground 1 and 2.Damron, I forgot about the $500,000 reward card! I should have saved up for that first now I'll never make it. After you beat career mode you only get $500 per race....that means I would have to win 1000 races in order to get htat reward card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started with the Camaro cause I'm a muscle car kinda guy, then used the Aston Martin like you until I got money for the SLR. It took me some time to beat the Mucielago in the canyon as well but after buying the final stage S/C it wasn't a problem. I beat all the challenges and won the 240sx and a few others. Also won myself a firetruck!There is a '91 MR2 taht you drive one of the conyon drift challenge missions so I wonder if you can unlock that car at some point??? That would be awesome, I love those cars. Also in the special edition I got the 2007 Camaro and the Koenigseg CCX....those are fun to drive. Too bad you can't buy them in career mode

I would say forget about Wii. Nintendo in my mind rotates more around kids/cartoony type games, party games and stufff like that. I think you should just play it on PS2 or Xbox. I was thinking about getting 360 instead of waiting til I can afford a PS3 because I played that new Test Drive game and it is UNREAL how realistic looking, sounding and playing it is...

i stopped liking the Need For Speed games since "high stakes" Undergorund was such a deviation from the classic series. I might get a 360. Actually i'm debating weather i should get my wife a new laptop for christmas, or get myself a 360.

Oh the wii has made video games fun for me again. Theres some ps2 game i like (shadow of colossus, god of war, gt4, socom for example) but xbox games wow they bore me. I never get into video games any more because i get bored so fast and its almost a hassle to play. but the wii (removed) is freaking sweet. I already have 4 games plus wii sports. Excite truck is just amazing, it never gets old. i think ill rent nfs for the wii, i have gt pro series but yea nfs lately is starting to get old. they need to bring back hot pursuit that game was amazing.as for the wii being kiddie? haha naw far cry has blood etc. i think the wii will turn the kiddie stereo type around, they are in talks of bringing GTA to the wii as well . Theres a lot more adult rated games for the wii than gamecube coming out in the future.

Forgot to mention, but I beat it a couple of days ago. Finally broke down and bought the SLR, sure enough that was all it took. After that it was pretty much downhill. Never bought another car, got the $500k, but I don't know how the F I'm going to get the $1M! Working on the misc crap now. 1 day we should all post up pics of our cars!

Yeah that's a good idea....I sold the SLR, a little too crazy for me so I bought the Murcielago....now I have about $5000...only $995,000 left to go!!! That's about 995 challenge races only!

i got it for my pc but i need a new DVD drive mine crapped out on me. we can have a post you NFS cars here like Need For Speed Unlimited does

Some of those people, like when I played online came up with the UGLIEST color/rim/body appearances I have ever seen in my entire life.....some of those people you are deeply greatful don't own a real car. They would have like a green car with purple neons and like red rice lists with giant purple spoilers and multicolored body graphics....very irritating.

hey damron..if im not mistaken..those pics he took are from the pc version of most wanted..basically just hit the print screen button and then paste it into a photoediting program..like photoshop..you can also buy lil devices that run from your tv to your pc and you can record stuff and takes photos that way aswell

Yeah I odn't have them for PC. I keep my racing games on Counsel and my shooter games on PC.Those look pretty sharp! PC looks way better than PS2.

and its all at 640X480 px i have a mod to run a higher res but didnt have time to start it up

Well here's my pics..i had 6 career cars, but 4 were not done, the 1 pic, which is my subaru..is more of a jdm look then anything..then my rx-7 which is what i used the whole game pratically..

hmmm ill see what pics i can take with my parents cam.. i think i brough the game home for xmas.

Looks like the NFSMW pics would come out a lot lighter and better than the NFSC pics. They are really dark and hard to see, but maybe I can adjust some settings to get them to come out better.
