Which mod first?

I'm looking at getting a magnaflow catback and a Cosmo SR Intake. Which will yield more gains? I'd like to do the intake first because it's cheaper but Cosmo never has them in stock. About 4 months ago they told me 4-6 weeks so I checked back about a month ago and they told me the same thing 4-6 weeks. What did you do first?

I would do exhaust first. The exhaust offers higher gains than the intake. Check out getting the exhaust custom made locally also, it will most likely be cheaper.

higher gains from exhaust? is yours leaking into your car??? as far as the stats around here have shown, the intake yields far more significant gains!

6 of one... half dozen of the otherit is really up to youIf you do want a decent exhaust shop that wont laugh you out of there try Carline in Ogden on 11th st i think... south of 9th ave by Spolumbos (between there and the Shamrock)if you need more directions PM me.you could do the intake yourself no problem though.

do both at the same time. The intake increases HP and torque through the powerban while the exhaust which does increase power, loses torque on the low end. They compliment eachother very well. If you can only do one at a time though, start with the intake.

i agree if you can do both at the same time you will notice a bigger difference. i done my exhuast first with a flowmaster and just a drop in k&n and then changed my exhuast around twice and finally settled and got the intake. the intake made a big difference down low and it seems to rev smoother. i would recommend checking out a custom exhuast setup i have a silverline canister and 2.25 inch pipes with the resonators cut off and it sounds great. but dont cut the resonators off if you cant handle a little interior resonance not too bad but it is noticible.

I say intake. Look for another manufacturer. You get what you pay for. I would suggest AEM or Injen. With an intake, you the gains and a nice growl! It would be the best bang for the buck.

Cosmo is the only one currently making them for the '06. I'm still debating back and forth on this one.

Decided to go with the magnaflow catback first. I'll probably order it in a few weeks.

I would go Intake First. The stock air box is so restricting. Let the engine breath. But you will notice more gains if you do both at the same time.

Fot now you can take off the intake snorkle to get a similar sound and feel for if you had a SR. Also, I would recommend getting the Weapon-R Secret Intake (SR)[$175] it will cost more than the Cosmo[$80], but you will get it right away and you will see more gains with it. Weapon-R has been tested by TPR Magazine as the best performing SR on the market. See
http://www.tprmag.com/issue/1/sr-results.shtml for intake testing results.People are using it on the '05+ base Vibes with the electronic throttle and new smog hoses without any problems.
