She would like some more power while road raging the Denver streets.This is a HUGE 180 from her normal stance on car performance mods.I wonder if someone slipped me something.... the bats ....the bats... they are everywhere....

Actually she is manic-depressive (arent they all?), so she must be going through a swing because she also said I could drop it too.So I have a set of Tein's on order from my neighbor. He is the US distributor for BPM. (www.bpmsportsusa.com) He said he would sell me performance parts for the Matrix for a little above cost.

I already drive it hard, never giving up even for shifting, and it runs like a raped ape....well a handicapped raped ape. I know the Saturn IONS are auto, and they dont have problems with boost, so hopefully I wont have to upgrade any transmission parts.

You would be better off going to a local performance snop and having it custom built. People on MO are having problems with missing parts in the Hass Turbo kits. I can get a custom turbo kit locally for under $3000 complete with all gauges & installed. Not going to though. lol. Might be a good idea to check it out at least. Good Luck!

Me personally, I'd build up the transmission... But my opinion of this transmission isn't the strongest after having it die on an entirely stock car.

And make sure you at least get a tranny cooler!

Really? that sucks. i was hoping for weekend install for a complete, trustworthy kit.

Besides a new torque converter, what else would be needed? I was hoping that the eManage would adjust the shift points for the auto.Is the tranny in the base the same as the GT? ...Does the GT even come in auto?...

I was thinking of doing this anyway. We rarely drive it more than 45 miles a day, but you can never go wrong with a cooling kit.Do you recommend one?

Any transmission cooler will do. GT only came with a 6speed manual.
