i got leaks

so swapping on the winters and had a chance to look at my exhaust plan of attack and noticed that ominous black fluid is coming for both rear axle seals.I also noticed a slight leak from the front, but not exactly sure where it's from yet.Made appointment at dealer as I am covered by 5yr/100km powertrain and I figure all leaks with oil are covered. The best part of this is that I can now have an excuse to install the springs I have sitting in my basement... so by then end of the week I will be a member of the dropped club, and I will be leak-less.

thank you powertrain indeed.got it checked at the dealer today... both rear axle seals and the leak from the front is my head gasket.Parts are a week away for the head... so it will get completed next week, free of charge with a rental.I am glad I have not installed the CAI or UNICHIP yet... no reasons to void it whatsoever. Or for that matter the SC. I'm sure that would screw me over pretty good.GOTTA LOVE IThas anyone else had the head gasket go on theirs? Seems like something that doesn't happen too often on these motors, I searched it and found next to nothing. So anyway the lowering will happen next week too and then I will get some pics and add myself to BC's Neptune only thread.

never come across a headgasket issue myself on these Vibes but I guess its something I should keep an eye on. Was yours internal or externaly leaking?yeah I know from my own experience dealing with other people's cars and their mods... you would have been screwed. I know I am lol. I've got springs, exhaust, sway bar, strut bar, unichip and intake on mine. And I autocross it.

I have not really been "low" on anitfreeze or oil between lof's but when my head was under there I always poke around. I was shocked it was the head gasket, I was expecting an oil filter or maybe oil pan cause its in that area. I worked at that dealership before so I know the techs working on it so when it goes into complete the job I will ask. I hope I dont have to go back and get it looked at for the leak that I saw.

I always suspected I had some sort of gasket bad on mine, it lost too much antifreeze for it to be considered "normal" to my tastes. So some poor soul probably has a bad head gasket now.

well CP yours might have been losing coolant but his was leaking oil.I keep checking my oil... doesn't go down at all with my driving over the course of 5000KM change intervals. My coolant does seem to have that "normal" consumption though.

so apparently my harmonic balancer broke and took out the crank seal I think there is more to the story but this visit I didnt know the tech or the SA soooo.... Im not sure. It's fixed now again, to be honest I think it was the crank seal all along but the balancer thing was unexpected.Hopefully it stays dry for a few weeks... then I can install the CAI and Unichip finally

with the new toys it's great... no leaks so far and I have been driving a lot since I got it back. I was also under it for a bit and washed off any more oil I could find in every nook and cranny I could get to.
