reset ecu and cleaning mass air sensor?

hey all i just installed an ARE stage 2 intake and wanted to reset my ecu and clean the mass air i was wondering what was involved in these steps. I know that on my obd I equipped truck you just unplug the battery and disconnect the ecu then reconnect let idle for 30 seconds and give it full throttle. is it anything similar, not sure on obdII controls any help would be appreciated

Disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected for 20 minutes. That'll reset the ECU. During this time, remove the MAF and spray it with a Mass-Airflow Sensor cleaner. Then reverse your steps. After you hook up the battery and start the car, let it idle for 10 minutes and that'll let the ECU adjust accordingly.

And remember that it takes about 3 days of driving for the ecu to 'learn' to work with your new intake.Enjoy the new power and sounds!

*BUMP and REVIVE*Just out of curiosity..... when installing a new intake, do you have to do this no matter what. Like If I get a SR intake, I have to do it, and then do it again if I get a CAI? and then a third time if I go back to stock?

That will reset your ECU automatically.)MAF cleaning = NO (only if it is dirty or you are having problems)
