Hello there! I'm new to the site, and so far I am diggin it...So I bought a 2003 Vibe GT with 50,000miles about a month ago. I love it! Here's the thing; recently I notcied that the clutch seems to be "slipping" after shifting and disengaging. Basically the engine will continue to rev but the vehicle is not accelarating accordingly. I should also note that the slipping seems to be worse the colder it is outside (I live in michigan). At first I was sure it was the clutch going bad. All week it's been giving me problems. Then today it got warm outside again and the problem was very minimal. It seems to me like the outside temp. wouldn't effect the performance of a clutch. Is it possible that the problem is the hydralic pump or something like that? ...or is that wishfull thinking? Anyways, if I do have to have the clutch replaced I would like to upgrade it. Who knows, maybe after that I'll having more work done to it. You know... to go with the tinted windows

Gonzo, lately I have been very noticing the same thing. When I take out the car in the mornings when it's a little chilly, the cars acceleration gets kinda goofy. Like, I will continously push in the pedal just a little further until the car finally begins to rev. It's just a small delayed reaction almost. I didn't think it could be a "clutch" problem, but I don't see what else it could be. But this really doesn't last more than a few minutes for me. It's very wierd.

Hey! I just started having this issue pop up on my 03 Vibe GT. This is something you probably already thought of, but just in case, have you checked your brake/hydraulic reservoir to make sure that it hasn't gotten low? This is what I am currently trying with mine to see if it takes care of the prob!

I went through 2 factory clutches on my '03 GT in less than 35K. Picked up an aftermarket clutch (cost less than the dealer install) and its still holding strong at 93K
