any reason you prefer the tigers, being from TX? is it because you are an AL fan?

Go Tigers! Just like in '68! The pizza and beer series, with pizza winning! It was interesting to see that the Cards had the second worse record over the last regular 50 games. Worse was the Tigers!

Only thing i dont like are the people who were never tigers fans before b/c they sucked horribly and now think they know everything about the team..that just doesn't represent a true fan. But I must say it is giving detroit a little more publicity like they need to make the city grow stronger

pizza and beer?i have never heard of detroit style pizza... but have heard of STL style...is pizza popular there or something?ash, that's a shame that you guys have so many bandwagon fans. around here, the cardinals are gospel regardless of how the season goes. kind of like packers in WIS

I like Pudge Rodriguez and will root for him and which ever team he plays on. I thought the Texas Rangers were dumb for not keeping him but hey it's all big business anymore and very little about the game. Did you know that Pudge pitched 7 no-hitters when he played Little League ball. I thought that was kinda cool. Gotta brag a little - my youngest pitched his first no-hitter in (Little League ball) when he was 9 yrs old - 6 innings, 18 K's. That's been a long time ago.

i like the one where lasorta is trying to convince the guy in the tree to come down and watch baseball. he asks the lady "which team is his?" she says "the cubbies" and he shutters and says "oooff"cracks me up!it's too bad nobody cares about the series because no stereotypical teams made it. (boston, NY, etc)

Yeah, there was a lot of talk about that. But who cares? After he washed it off he pitched 7 scoreless innings!

exactly rob. people say, "so what, he washed it off"did sammy get to switch to a bat with no cork in it and continue playing? cheating is cheating. (and no, i'm not saying that because the dude beat st. louis, he probably would have either way.)
