New HU installed

I just installed a sony CDX GT500 h/u and must say the install could not have been simpler! The dash piece pops right out--easily and without breaking anything;) I let the dash piece hange since I didn't want to mess with the cable for the recirc air. Although the three harnesses at the top unplugged easy enough and left me enough room. The aftermarket install kit was very installer-friendly and even has a try to put something in. The universal-universal Scosche harness from Wal-Mart had me worried with its double plug, but it worked fine and for $8 even included the antenna adapter (I already paid $12 for one where I bought the dash kit:{).Anyway, I was worried about sound quality and all I can say is what a difference! With the DSO sony head units have, I cannot turn it up past 2 without the highs killing my ears. My sound from the rears is still lousy, but replacements will be next week's project.Any suggestions? 5.25 or 6.5 for the rears?I'll post some pics and leave a link for my photobucket tomorrow...

6.5" all around. I had this deck installed for a day or two and was very happy with it. It matched the interior pretty good and the sound quality was much better than stock. I couldn't find the proper dash kit locally though so I brought it back. At some point I'll get another HU though.

went w/6.5's thanks

Thanks for the pointers. I ended up going w/Sony 6.5's (4-ways). I had to fade to the rear 6, but the sound is phenomenal, and the deck does match the interior very well. I was too busy replacing the el cheapo stock paper speakers to get pics today. Stay tuned...BTW the cone on the stock rear speakers does not move--is that normal? They're in the trash now, but I think they were toast.
