Ricers + Booze + Hotel = Bad times for ALL!

Last night, Kari and I were out of town for a wedding. We were getting ready to go to bed at about midnight at the latest since we could leave NO later than 11 this morning. Although it was Sunday, we both had stuff we had to do today, like drive home/go to work/do homework! So, it was around midnight, we were getting ready to make like windows and crash when all the sudden we started hearing a lot of people yelling, slamming the doors HARD, etc... It's not like slamming the door once and that's it, it was like SLAM! SLAM! SLAM! SLAM! SLAM! SLAM! The ice machine was running almost non-stop. F-this, f-that, blah blah blah coming from the hallway, not to mention I found our NON-SMOKING room beginning to smell of smoke from I guess where they were smoking out in the hallway. Not able to sleep, I decided to go out a few minutes later and get something out of the car, saw some pretty young kid leaning up against the door yacking on his phone, empty bottle of booze... Really sloshed, I think he was talking to his mom or something "yeah, we'reeee hereeee at th' hotelllllllll........." Went back to the room and tried to go to sleep, but it was a lost cause. F-this, f-that, slam slam slam, laughing, people right outside our window making a crapload of noise. There were two parties going on, to the left and to the right of our room. Called the front desk to inform them of a problem on our floor that they needed to investigate, and "we'd really like to get some sleep sometime tonight." Not too long after that, the sounds of a drunk vomiting echoed through the hallway with a companion yelling "DUDE, YOU ALREADY PUKED!!!???" A few minutes later, the manager comes upstairs and knocks on the door, says that they need to keep it down, next time she has to say anything to them, they will be forced to leave... The kids were like "uhh, why?" "We have received complaints of noise..." "Really, from where?" "FROM ALL OVER THIS FLOOR!" We hear the door shut, then it opens again and the same person as before talks to the manager and apparently gets into it with her, so she's like "get your things, you're out of here." They were, of course, complaining that they got kicked out. They didn't understand why they were kicked out, gee, wasn't it OBVIOUS??? We overheard that these people were from a car club, but that wasn't our first clue, all the tacky riced out Hondas with fart cans and the annoying buzz we heard from them in the parking lot was a pretty good indication. "Man, what are we gonna do? It's either gas or another room! Can we like sleep in your parking lot???" Wha? The manager was even being NICE and offered to refund these joker's money and they STILL were out in the hallway raising hell about it.Once those people were gone, the other group quietly retreated back to their room(s) but the party resumed shortly thereafter. Slam slam slam, man, they needed a lot of ice still... running up and down the hallway yellin' and cussin'... It was now something like 1:00, we still couldn't get to sleep. I called downstairs and said there were still unresolved issues on our floor. The lady at the front counter cheerfully replied "Yes sir, we've got the police on their way." HOORAY! It was probably another 20 minutes or so, but *knock* *knock* *knock* "OPEN UP OR WE'LL GO GET THE KEY!" was heard. The cops were there with the manager to send people on their way. But not only did they kick out just a couple rooms of folks, they kept going and going and going... They pretty much evicted every one of those people associated with whatever club that was. "We're gonna go talk to your manager!" some yelled, (liked they'd have a leg to stand on, it was late at night, they were creating one massive disturbance, had many people there that weren't even their guests, they were intoxicated, etc.) and others who claim to be innocent were like "But we were in our room the whole time!!!!" A few of them ended up getting their rooms back but I don't know what the deal was there... The ones that were sober enough to drive let us hear how wonderful their fart cans were, rattling the windows... I was still hearing this at 2:something in the morning out there... I couldn't get to sleep until almost 3, woke up at 10, and I can't go back to sleep until 9 AM tomorrow. Thanks, ricers. This morning, I talked to the staff about it. "What can we do about last night?" "Oh, were you in the car club?" HELL NO! She began to talk about it, said that's what happens when people get drunk and stupid... Yeah, really! She said that they even CLIMBED OUT ON THE OVERHANG over the main entrance (that's where we were hearing them outside, OUR ROOM WAS RIGHT ABOVE IT!) Apparently they got sent over from another hotel, not sure if they were kicked out from there or what, I think they were... So they all paid us a visit. At least our room was free because of these morons. Thanks you ricers, I'm less in debt now because you're stupid! If I left any details out or messed anything up, I'm sure Kari would be happy to correct me or add to the story. It was grrrreat. Let this be a lesson to us all: DON'T BE STUPID LIKE THIS AT ANY FUNCTIONS YOU MAY ATTEND! If you want to have a party after a meet, don't be this juvenile and so disrespectful of others like these people were. Some guests (er, probably everyone but YOU) are there to SLEEP, not to sit around getting sloshed and having a great ol' time making a lot of noise late at night. Let me just say, I GenVibe, all of the meets I've been to have been NOTHING like this. We can still seem to find a way to BE RESPECTFUL OF OTHERS while having a great time ourselves!Sorry for the long post, btw. But it was a good story, no?
