I ordered GM accessory mud guards for my 2006 base from my Pontiac dealer. They had a hard time figuring out which part numbers to order but were able to figure it out with my help, which was based on info I got from this forum. My service consultant admits to "not knowing much about Vibes". I'm not sure how much their techs know. They are going to install them next week. Is there anything tricky about the installation that I should tell them before they start, or is this something they should be able to do correctly even though they don't know much about the Vibe?

it should be easy enough... even you could do it.

DO NOT drill too deep on the rears, The drill can very easily go right through the part you don't want to drill through. just go until it's through the 1st layer.

Though it's not absolutely necessary, removing the rear wheels makes the job go a little easier and bit quicker. Also, there are some crevices in these mudflaps that are difficult to keep clean (if you are (removed) about that sort of thing). Before I installed mine, I put a really thick layer of Mother's Carnuba Wax on the inside surface of the flaps and then buffed them until they were no longer white. Now when I detail my Vibe's flaps, I just use a few sprays of Meguiar's Interior Cleaner and a dedicated wheel brush and all that road crap slides right off (thanks to the wax). Tar, caked on mud, critter chunks...they slough off no problemo!BTW: Though that sounds bad, I draw the line at frequently removing my wheels to detail the inner fender linings...I only do that four times a year now.
