"Old" Guy on the block

Post by Ol' Timer »

Well, I've been lurking here for awhile and finally decided to join and share my experience(s). I picked up my Vibe in May and have almost 10K on the Odo at this point. I've had similar new car experience like over inflated tires (37PSI) and original Oil Filter "wrenched" on. I couldn't remove the filter by ordinary means so I let the Stealership change the Oil the first time @ 3,000 miles. I asked them to have the Secretary hand tighten the new oil filter. She must have been a big woman because when I changed the oil/filter at 7,000 miles it was on very tight. The Stealership also put in 6 quarts of oil. Now you know why I prefer to service my own cars. Like many of you, I found the Headlights aimed low from the factory. And thnaks to you I found how to adjust them. This car replaced my 1998 Toyota Corolla which was crushed by a tree last March(The Toyota was parked when the bough broke and turned the Corolla into a "sub-compact").I like the Utility Space in the vibe and such features as the Rear Window Wiper, AC Outlet, and the Anti-lock Brakes with Electronic Brake-Force Distribution. If any of you have this option, trust me...It Works!!!Looking forward to many miles with my Vibe

Thanks for your great Greetings. I enclosed the details of my Vibe in my sig below.Pics? You can't post Poloroids on this site can you? I borrowed this from the Pontiac site. I have the steel wheels with bolt on covers though."Toyota Power"??? Fortunately coming from the Corolla I'm not really complaining. I enjoy gas mileage over power.
