It's telling to look at the differences in sales from last year to this year. The trucks continue to trend downward, as do the models which are starting to get older age-wise (Altima, Accord, etc.). That probably isn't a surprise to anyone, but even so, it is eye-opening to see (especially) the trucks decline so severely in this age of fuelishness.

If they put the Chevy Silverado figures together with the GMC Sierra figures (same truck, different name) they would be far and away the highest seller year after year. This would ruin Ford's claims as the best selling truck in North America. The new Impala is a great looking, well made car, that's why sales are up 20%.

Separate, the GM trucks lose.Anyway, to something else I saw... What's up with this "Corolla Matrix" crap? That's always bugged me... While based on the Corolla, the Matrix is its own fricken model... But with the way Toyota markets it, they make it sound like it is some option package on the Corolla or something. I guess they're just trying to cash in on the Corolla name. They need to make the car say COROLLA MATRIX on the back if they insist on calling it that. Blah, at least they can add the number of Matrix units moved on top of their Corolla sales figures, making them look even better! I don't know the exact amount of TRUE Corollas and Matricies sold last year, but the Corolla sales would probably be closer to that of the Civic had they not counted the Matrix as a Corolla...

I don't know either but I would say there are more civics then corollas out there. Without the Matrix I'm not sure Toyota would be on there twice. Maybe thats why Toyota combos them up?CAN-AWD-VIBE

the general public has heard a lot about corrolas (seeing as they sell really well!) so anything toyota can do to make it blatently obvious that the matrix is the same car but wagon style is to their advantage.

sales in alaska reflect sales in alaska. subarus don't exactly sell like hotcakes in the southwestern/southern states.those figures seem reflected to me every day on the highway.these figures are throughout the entire US.i'm really surprised the cobalt isn't higher up. i guess though, my hometown doesn't reflect the average american income.

Theres a reason Ford is selling more trucks it istnt because there a better truck they have better marketing dept. what most dont know is Ford has the bigegst contracts with the most companys like nasa of cleveland and other hugeeee business that are obligated to buy ford and ford only year after year in contract, so when your selling a 200-350 trucks at one shot compared to GM pretty easy to figure out why they sell alot not that they dont have a loyal following got knows why i think there the biggest peice of crap out there plus they are the ugliest although with this new Chevy truck comming out i think Chevy just may have out uglied them
