I own a base 04 vibe 5 speed wirth a Ingen CAI and a Flowmaster exhust system from the Cat. back. Currently i have the OEM cat. on my car, it works just fine but, am i robbing myself of HP by not gettin a "performance" or "high-flow" converter? Please advise. I am open to all suggestions on what to do and what brands to go with if need be. thanks again

OEM cats are restrictive, they all are. It used to be that a high flow cat was stupid expensive and not worth it but now that I know magnaflow makes a in-expensive high flow cat, I need one too.just eBay search it here... http://search.ebay.com/magnafl...ZWLRSJust use a universal that is the same as your piping. They sell all different sizes. You could also get a pipe made from the "header" to the cat and bump op that pipe size too, then match the cat to the pipes infront and after. I figured that out since my post to BlueCrush asking about his, it was a dumb question. I think it may have been a drunken post anyway. Maybe thats why he didnt write back? Anyway... I still dont know what to do with the oxygen sensor that sits right after the cat in that pipe though. Maybe your cat-back takes care of that already. Mine will be a custom setup so I still need to figure that out, then get a Magnaflow cat of my own!CAN-AWD-VIBE

I don't think u can just buy a universal cat and expect to be able to have it bolt right in to the car. With our pre-cat and stuff it gets a little confusing and I don't think u can really do much of anything without getting a cat custom-fit for the piping.
