ENGINE COVER REMOVAL HINTS

I find that if you spray a little WD-40 around the plastic pins in the back of the engine shroud (or any plastic pins for that matter), and use a tack puller to lift under them, you can usually remove them without breaking them. A better solution for this situation is to replace the pins with 6mm hex bolts, as the back two holes are threaded the same as the front. That way the cover can be removed in the future much easier.

thanks, colors?

A tack puller looks like a small screwdriver with a "V" cut in the center. It's used to pull out thumb tacks. You can buy them at just about any hardware store
