I guess this can go under handling... Here in good ol' Florida, it rains a lot, the Vibe sux in the rain even if you take it easy. Is there any way to increase traction other than new tires? I have No ABS , No Stabiltrak , Base 06.

What about the suspension or springs, can they be stiffened to keep the wheels on the ground? I wish I had ABS or StabilTrak, I don't have either.

water makes your tires slip... center of gravity has little to do with this one. Your tires are not bouncing and loosing contact they are sliding.Better grip from better tires. ABS wouldn't help thats only good for stopping, but stabiltrak would. you know what would really help and we wouldnt have this conversation. AWD, now thats the ticket baby. CAN-AWD-VIBE

Tires and driving slower in the rain will solve your problems. But tires will make all the difference.

nothing helps when your car starts to hydroplane :S springs helped my car for dry weather but yea for sure get some tires that are geared for all weather or rain. Ill be picking up some cheap winter tires to make it through this MN winter weather :S
