I don't know what the exact name is. My door flew open on a windy day and bend the hinge and broke some plastic. Now when I shut my door with the window down it rubs on the window. See picture

its a check strap or link. dealer should be able to order you one. I think that is the part that causes the window problems people were reporting. you might want to tell the dealer your window pops once in a while. he might relace it for free.

Yeah, I'd milk that one if possible. GM should know by now those pieces are crap, so if the car is under warranty, get it fixed for free. Otherwise, the new and improved door check part numbers:$87.40 GM listLF: 88937010RF: 88937009

No, way out of warranty. Know of a good place to get a good price on both? I found one place charging 54 a piece, just wondering if there are cheaper sources. Thanks!

its not a warranty Item it is a T.S.B. technical service bulletin i would tell the dealer you have a popping noise coming from your window and that you hear that there is a T.S.B. concerning the check link and window breakage.

Ya, if I could get them for both the front doors that'd be awesome. The left front is the one that's bad now but I have to take the right front door apart to tighten that loose bolt so I myswell replace the part with the updated one. They're the updated ones, right? Thanks!

$49 each, plus shipping is the best I can do. And I do have both in stock of the new design.
