Howdy!Just joined the other day after putting down a deposit on the last remaining 2006 5-speed vibe in the Maritimes. We drove over to Moncton yesterday to pick it up. This will hopefully be a great little car for us, as we needed extra cargo capacity. There, my first post is written. But probably not the last!

Yup, we took the bridge over and back. It was dark on the way home though, so I didn't stop for any pics. Luckily I didn't have to pay the toll on the way back.

I just searched, and it looks like I'm the only Islander on here. For shame! And to think of all the Vibes I see here on a daily basis. I guess I'll have to get a genvibe decal for the back window.

you should put you sunfire in the For Sale/Wanted category, that might help you sell it a lil faster too

PEI is about as far away from California you can get while staying in North America.

PEI = Prince Edward Island, Canada's smallest province. So small, in fact, that we're omitted from many smaller maps. If you care, we're just north of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. We're linked to New Brunswick via one of the longest bridges in the world* (pic posted above). Unfortunatly there is a $40 toll to cross the bridge, paid when you leave PEI.*Over water that freezes in winter

Thanks for the tip on the Matrix site! I have some friends that own them, I'll have to see if they're members.ANO_Vibe: Yeah, the toll is pretty steep. They decided to keep the price about the same as the ferry that used to cross at the same location. Our airport is very expensive as well. But the Island is beautiful, I can't imagine living anywhere else.

http://www.amazon.com/Touchdow...02N0IInteresting. But that's not where my particular name comes from. The Sunrunner part is from my old '93 Asuna Sunrunner, which is a re-badged Geo Tracker sold through Pontiac dealerships in Canada. They changed the name to Pontiac Sunrunner in 1994, and discontinued the name shortly after. The PEI part is where I'm from. Prince Edward Island, Canada. My old '93 Sunrunner:

I don't remember paying a toll when we left PEI, however that was 5 years ago so I probably don't remember it anyway. We stayed in Summerside - well at a campsite near there - Linkletter Park. LOTS of skeeters biting me that night.

Welcome to GenVibe. I met a great couple from PEI living in Toronto this summer. They told me all about your wondeful island. They even showed me that TV show with those guys living in the trailer park, too funny. I hope to someday get over to PEI but hopefully on the back of my Harley.Anyway welcome. Great folks here with tons of info. Ask away.

I used to eat my lunch there.

Filmed just a couple hours away in Dartmouth, NS, and some of the actors are from PEI. And like Sputnik mentioned, the movie is due out real soon.

Surprisingly, no one has tried to jump off yet. When the bridge opened in 1997, they had a walk across it, open to the public. We figured someone would jump that day, but luckily it didn't happen.
