Plastic Wheel Well lining

Does anyone know if the plastic wheel well liner is available from any other source than the dealer? I was quoted $98.00 from the dealer for my 04 Vibe. The thing is about as flimsy as plastic from a laundry detergent bottle! Also, has anyone had to replace this? Is it difficult to do yourself? Thanks for your help.

Ragingfish had to replace his at http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=17897He said this about GM Parts Direct on the liner: "I've been searching for a replacement liner for my front right wheel well...GMPD wants 50-something for the part...quite reasonable...and 50 for SHIPPING! That's $100! IT'S INSANE!" So maybe the dealer is a better option. There is a how-to guide on the liner removal at http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=12551

GM parts direct is a dealer, Flow Chevrolet, and all they do, is sell to you at cost, plust way too much shipping. I work for Auburn Pontiac GMC in Pontiac Mi, and have looked at their site before. If you know someone at a dealer, or are in good with the parts dept. at your dealer, you can pay less for the part than GMPD. Just an FYI

If anyone finds a place to get them for a reasonable price let us know, I have been needing to replace my driver's side liner for quite a while now!

GM should have used a more durable material. I have a large hole on my driver side just behind the fog light area of the well liner. I got that hole during the first 6 months of owning my car. I patched it up with some black plastic sheet and duct tape, but it has since worn through. I've just left it as is.
