New clutch; catches high. Need some help.

I just recently got the clutch on my 03 GT replaced (after 70k miles on the original), and I'm not exactly happy with the current friction point. When I was researching which clutch I was going to buy, I came across a number of posts and helpful how-tos here on Genvibe.One of which was a link to a small rod that helped adjust the clutch pedal from the cabin of the car. The one that's on my car now completely unscrews before it gets to a point that I'm satisfied with.Does anyone know what I'm talking about, or better yet, is anyone able to point me to where I'd be able to get a longer one of these small rods?For reference, my clutch catches about 3/4ths of the way to the top, and for whatever reason, it drives me nuts. I'd like it to catch relatively low, and I know I've seen this info here before. If it wasn't directly here, there was definately a link from here to somewhere else. Maybe I'm not searching using the correct words or something, but I haven't been able to find this again.Thanks!

i dont own a manual nor know about the replacing and moving the catch point. but i agree with the catch point. I drove a honda last weekend and it caught at the top so right where you let off, man that sucked. Id rather have it catch below 1/2 way. im sure someone knows how to do that and they'll post up

I was under the impression you wanted the clutch to catch near the top of the pedal, so you could shift quicker, and not have to push the pedal down so far between shifts.I don't know anything about adjusting the pedal, but you could try taking it back to the place that put in the clutch and see if there's any way to adjust it, though I don't think there is on a hydraulic clutch like ours.Also, by low do you mean 'closer to the floor'? And where is this adjustment you speak of?

You might want to give one these extended clutch slave pushrods a try. They install between the clutch slave cylinder and clutch fork. It's supposed to help when installing heavy duty clutches. Available from Speed Source:

Ok, so do I have it backwards then? For whatever reason, I recall reading here that I wanted to lengthen the rod to cause the friction point to be lower to the floor.I'm not going to buy this if I don't need to.
