http://www.leftlanenews.com/20...back/ Quote »Spy photographer Chris Doane for Brenda Priddy & Company caught a disguised 2008 Subaru WRX in testing this week in California. Previously, there have been several sightings of possible WRX test mules (in Legacy bodies). These pictures show an actual WRX prototype. The car is expected to take some inspiration from the Subaru B5 concept, though evidently not as much as one might expect. As for power, insiders are anticipating a big update to the 2.5-liter H4 turbo, with an output of around 330-horsepower. Priddy says the Impreza name could change for the 2008 model year. Gallery after the jump… I can't wait to see it with the covers off. estimate 330 turbo hp. Not bad at all. Now I wonder what the STi will look like and its power output.

wow, i'd hate to drive around town in a 'disguised car' like that...i don't know if it's the disguise, but the outline isn't to my liking...i like the current version.

Is it just me but is EVERY MANUFACTURER jumping on the Vibe / Matrix wagon??? it kinda looks like a cross between a Mazda 3 & a Vibe ?!?!

i don't see how any of the subarus even remotely look close to the vibe or mazdas. besides, it would really be the other way around.... the impreza/wrx wagons came long before the vibe or matrix.

i see where you are coming from with the mazda thing. i say it's a vast improvement. now, just get rid of the whole pink STI motif and you're really cooking with gas.

DUH thats all you talked about the next day.... what ever lol.Subaru has had the wagon for longer then the Vibe has been around. I wouldn't say this is an attempt to look like the Vibe. Infact to me it looks nothing like the Vibe. The headlights are different, the tail lights are different. There is no presense of third rear side windows. It has a stock turbo. There has been talk since that picture turned up that its a mazda, or a toyota... guess we'll see.
