Yes, thats right I'm grumpy. My boyfriend has been out of the country since Sunday (he's coming back tomorrow), there's been a horrible space tragedy (I still remember Challenger...), I'm sick of someone at work, and I'm sick of trying to be so darn nice all the time. I'm also darn sick of the freakishly cold weather and the snow. I shoulda been born in the Bahamas!! Whew, now I feel better. Well poop - I even posted it in the wrong forum (I have since moved it to the right one incase you all think I'm nuts)!!

Sput---Relax--Take a deep breath and cuddle with your feline freind and just think of the good times and hopefolly that will wash out the bad.We all have our days, and Lord I have had mine, but sometimes one just has to march ahead and not look back.I hope things get better and you will overcome this slump. Why don't you call an old friend and get out and enjoy a movie or just sit and remimisce about things that once made you feel better. Here's to a better day tommorrow-James

I have ordered myself a pizza and bought a Pay Per View movie. Thanks Vibe!Speaking of my feline friend - I noticed a lump in my bed this morning so I looked under my blanket and there was Yoda enjoying the warmth of the duvet.

I have three cats and two of them sleep under the covers with me and my girlfriend and the other one keeps my feet warm Who needs an electric blanket when you have cat warmers

Hi--Spuk-- I guess by the time you read this it will be Sunday--and I hope that this day will be better. I know what it is like to be down in the dumps and I know where you are coming from.Look forward to your boyfriend returning home, and cook him a real good meal and sit down and realize that without each other --you both would be lost-------Hey I think that was really your real problem --You missed your loved one. I can relate to that!! Yes , I know you felt bad about the shuttle incident but who doesn't. I do also.Anyway---Chin -up --I hope I made an attempt to get you to feel better.Regards--James Stewart--(Vibe)

The reason we feel off when things aren't how we'd prefer them, is so that we'll feel noticably better when they ARE how we'd prefer them. IF you want highs, you've got to weather some lows.Smart idea venting yours though, Sputnic. Lets one off-load sometimes. Hope it helped.KSNeptune

No this salad is different - 4c rotini, 6 slices crumbled bacon, some sliced chicken breast, some romaine lettuce. and the dressing is soooo good - 1 whole head of roasted garlic, dijon mustard, chicken stock, olive oil, and lemon juice. Served warm with sprinkle of parmasean cheese. Its one of my favorites.

Here is the entire recipe: (note that I added chicken to mine and omitted tobasco)1 whole head of garlic1/3 cup of olive oil1/4 cup of chicken stock2 tbsp lemon juice1 tsp dijon mustarddash of tobasco sauce4 cups rotini or fusilli,6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled,1 small bunch of romaine lettuce1/4 cup grated parmasan cheeseCut top off head of garlic, place in centre of a piece of foil. Drizzle with 1 tbsp of the olive oil and bake in a 300 F oven for 1 hour. Whisk together remaining oil, chicken stock, lemon juice, mustard and tobasco. Squeeze softened garlic from skins, mash, and whisk into dressing. Cook the pasta. Rinse lightly under cold water until warm and drain. Combine pasta, bacon, lettuce, cheese and dressing in large bowl and serve immediately. This food cheered me up greatly!! That and my boyfriend is home!
