The term "ricer" was first used to talk about people who race and modify Japanese FWD cars. It has since been modified to people who build gaudy, foreign cars (and even American FWD cars) to look like the picture above. Basically someone who tries to make they car look fast but doesn't make it actually fast.

A 'ricer' as stated above is a car that is gaudy on the exterior and has little to no go under the hood.

That is an excellent picture of a "ricer". Funny thing is, there are a lot of cars that look almost exactly like that in my area. There is a house that I pass by from time to time that has 3 cars that are all like this. I believe that they are all Honda's.

The best ever was an early 90s Chevy mini van that I saw. Was lowered with nice 16" rims. Was flat black with purple racing stripes. Somehow they got a large wing on top and had chrome everything. I had pictures but lost them. They best was the picture of the guy flipping me off because I was laughing and photographing him.

Rice-Boy is a stereotype. The typical Rice-Boy can be identified by his car, or rather what he does to it. Generally, Rice-Boy will start out with a car that was not meant to go fast (typically a Honda Civic), and attempt to "fix it up," usually consisting of aftermarket rims, lowering springs and an aftermarket exhaust system with a large exhaust tip. Most Rice-Boy cars (or "Rice Rockets") have the usual complement of stickers proudly displaying features that the car might or might not have, most notably, the Honda VTEC sticker from the later model Preludes, and the plaques from the later model Integras. Rice-Boys do not exclusively drive Japanese cars. There are quite a few fake Mustang '5.0's and Camaro Z28's out there, as well as quite a few strange looking Neons.

I like some cars with wire wheels depending on how they are set up.But I hate little donut wheels like those. We can go into a whole other car category.......lowriding etc..I think the person who's car we are talking about above got confusedand stuck between half rice rocket and half low rider.
