I noticed that over the past week a small "cut" has appeared on my windshield. It started on the passenger side, about 6 inches wide, and is now grown to half way on the drivers side and a few inches from the passenger side. It doesn't look a like a rock hit it, since those are round. Would this be a warranty issue?

I would say yes it could be! If a rock did not hit it and you cannot see damage then the glass could have been set in there at a strange way and vibration caused it to start cracking. I would have the dealer check it out for sure.
I'd say no not warranty. I have gotten rock chips before that did not leave a circle mark, it cracked instead. Here is a tip, take a ball point pen and trace the crack. It will 99% of the time find the impact point and drop into the hole.

Since my appointment for the other stuff is tomorrow, I drove by and had my service advisor look at it. After very careful examination, there is a tiny spot right near the bottom that is circular and looks just like a rock hit it. So, the dealer has a recommended windshield company and I have full glass coverage, so it will be replaced tomorrow. Great service!
