Steve Irwin, the Australian television personality and environmentalist known as the "Crocodile Hunter," was killed Monday by a stingray during a diving expedition, Australian media said. He was 44.article here

BC, that was what I was getting ready to say! As bad as this may sound, the news didn't come as a surprise. What a coinkydink, we spent the afternoon at the aquarium too, and methinks they had a few of these around there if I'm not mistaken...

my sister actually stepped on a baby on when me and the family when to Corpus Christy for a weekend. that was about 2 years ago though.but yea, like BC said it was bound to happen sometime.

yea he got hit in the heart with a sting ray barb im going to miss that guy he was funny and his show was awesome to watch.

I always thought it would have been to a gator or something...Well it was extremely unlucky for the poor guy.Crikey!

Not saying he was wrong for what he did... but when you put it in prospective he was lucky for a very long time.I'm going to miss that guy though, he sure had a good heart and cared for the animals. My condolences to his family - they're the ones that lost the most.
