DIY ECU ($200 +/-)

I was reading the October issue of Import Tuner and there is an article on building your own ECU for around $200. It is supposed to control everything the stock ecu controls and then some. Can work as a piggyback to the oem ecu, or standalone. Here are some links:

It is not for the faint of heart. No one has been able to control the VVT-i with it yet. Here is some info from MO:

yeah if you want a cheap wait to controll VVT-i with your laptop get the camcon. but again the best tune is on a dyno.
