Limit size of embedded images?

Is there any way to limit the physical size of embedded images? I'm specifically suggesting a maximum width of 800 pixels. This would allow an image to fit within the post column without forcing the column to continue beyond the right edge of the maximum viewing window when at 1024x768 resolution. This should not be enforced on attached images (which display separately). Here are some examples which brought this to mind (no offense intended on my fellow members! ) :http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...40325h ... ro...age=2

hey, that sketch of the cover i made was an attachment in my post...somebody else turned it into an embedded image! j/k i agree on trying to limit it though. With signatures turned off and small fonts, etc. i try to keep the page as 'clean' as possible and a wide picture doesn't fit 'the zen' of all that!

800 pixels wide is definitely big enough to see the pic and small enough, you don't have to "scroll" to see the whole thing, or then attempt to read anything after or before it.
