Lucky Day

I went to the Pontiac dealer today after work to go see about the OEM front and rear bumper lips. The guy told he was going to get back to me and see what he can do me. So any way here's the good part. As I was walking out to my car I stopped to look at the new Vibe's and I asked the saleman if all the Vibe's had the rear cargo mat and he said yes except the base model. So I told the guy that my Vibe did not come with the rear cargo mat, So next thing I know the salesman open the rear hatch and pull's this plastic bag with the rear cargo mat AND the front and rear floor mat's with the front mat clip's and just handed them to me just like that no question's ask and he said, send me some customer's and have a good day. I was like are you jokeing and the guy said no. Just send me customer's, that's all he said, so if anybody want's to buy a Vibe let me know and I will give you the salesman's name and he said he will give anybody a real good deal on any car on the lot. I need to give this guy a giftcertificate for dinner for him and wife or g/f. He did not have to do this but good people are still out there. MY LUCKY DAY.... nuvibe

Soo, in a few months we'll probably see a new member sign up and post some questions...newbie: "I just got this Vibe and it doesn't have the front or rear floor mats, those are supposed to be standard, right?"some genvibe member: "Yes, the are - you don't have them? You got ripped off! Those asshats! I'd go back down to that dealer and demand them right away! Damn sleazy dealers!!!"newbie: "Ok, I'll go raise hell, might as well since they didn't put the damn shift lock override in place anyway."

I had a somewhat similar thing happen to me. When I picked up my new Vibe in July I asked about a cargo net. My salesman said hang on a minute. He came back with a full size Vibe net, just gave it to me. He told me when a lease return came back he took the nets and mats out of it before the dealership sent the lease return to the auto auction lot. He said he was the only salesman at the dealership that did it and was glad to, so he could help out his customers some.

That's a cool story. The way I see it. It's called customer repore. That's how the customer's comeback and feel they will be taken care of... nuvibe

Yep - they won't get a dime more for those extras at auction. He is what my grandson would say is a "fart smeller".
