I am thinking on getting the Tein ss coil overs for my 04 gt. Did anyone have to get a camber kit when they lowered their car? also with the tein ss how did you set up the ride high and wieghting out the 4 corners?Thank youBrian

don't know on coilovers. but wasn't necessary for S-tech springs.

I installed the Tein Basic Damper coilovers (like the SS but without dampening adjustments). A camber kit isn't really necessary but you won't be able to get back to complete factory spec camber-wise without. I had mine aligned as close to factory spec as possible without a camber kit and was about 1 degree off. My alignment guy said to keep the tires rotated every 3000 to keep the wear normal. As far as the height, in the instructions for the Tein coilovers, they list a recommended adjustment to use for the front/back when installing. If you set it that way you'll end up with a nice and even, low drop.

I ended up getting the camber kit for it because I didn't want to kill my tires ( Oh Such Sweet Tires They Are ).I ordered a bunch of stuff, and I got the tein basic coil overs.

I guess I should update this thread. I ended up getting a "proper" alignment last month in line with my new tires at the same time. That consisted of the shop ordering a bolt kit (essentially one bolt/spacers on each side is replaced) to allow all alignment adjustments to go to factory specs.I found it hard to get a shop (by me) to do it the "right" way since my vehicle was lowered. I ended up at Firestone and had no issues getting it done.

I agree with that. For the front,I just replaced the lower strut bolt. For the back it's best to get a camber kit but not totally necessary. The best shop I have found (believe it or not) is a Lexus dealership.
