Exhaust Poll

My pontiac rep has informed me that if I were to get an upgraded exhaust, that I would have to have it bolted on instead of welded on to not void the warranty. So my poll is if you have a upgraded exhaust on your vibe, did you have it welded on or bolted on?I refuse to bolt it if I decide to upgrade, but at the same time I don't want to void the warranty.

I think most are axel back if you going for just exhaust so they usually just bolt up to the stock or its cut and then clamped on.+1 to what damronjr said, they have to 100% prove the aftermarket part is what caused the problem. Adding just an exhaust I dont see causing any real problem with any other part of the car....

Mine is welded. If you put on an aftermarket exhaust you pretty much voided out your exhaust warranty. Because the oem exhaust is no longer on there. It should not affect any othe warrantied part on the car though.

yes, they can only void the warranty if that particular modification caused the problem. not too many people run into bad a/m exhausts. stick with magnaflow or other reputable proven exhausts and you should be just fine.

i'm with blue, the only warranty you'll be voiding will be that of the stock exhaust.
