Am I the only one using a Mac? I also have several PCs, so I'll just have to go with "All of the Above."

I have Windows 98 at work. At home I have Red Hat Linux and Windows XP installed on my computer. I probably use Windows 80% of the time and Linuz the other 20%.

I use a mix of WinXP Pro and Win2000 Pro at home. Primarily WinNT 4.0/Win2000 Workstation and Server at work as well as Novell Netware. I use pretty much any OS you can think of daily besides a Mac.

I have Win 2000 at work and I have no problem installing on my machine. I think they have us all set up as local admins on our own computers. Now if you were to install ICQ, and they found out, they could fire you. So I install nothing on my computer at work without getting permission first.

Cibomatto,Just curious, what do you loathe about OS X? I have it on my iBook and G4 iMac and I've found it's stability and flexibility (thanks to the BSD underlayment) to be a major benefit.

Millster:I use my Imac for music production. (Music Notation, Digital Recording, Sound editing ectectect) Most of my programs are not compatible with OS X and for the few that are seem very buggy and sluggish.I figure 9.x isn't broken so I am not going to change it. Although, I admit OS X looks sharp and I have read about the stability of the Os.. I just can't use it

Fair enough. I do video production myself and haven't yet found a software package for the Mac that I like. I'm sticking to Adobe Premier under Windows XP Pro. The program compatibility is a problem. I can't get Virtual PC to run well enough to even be useful under X. But if I need Windows I can just turn to one of my real PCs. OS 9 certainly isn't broken, I'm sad to see Apple totally turning away from it not having fully addressed some of the issues with X.

We have XP home. I'm not real happy with it. Not everything is compatible with it. At my last job, they would email us several programs to print labels and such that were created on a Windows 95 system, and I would have to re-format everything to get it to function properly. But now I don't have that job anymore, therefore I guess I don't have that problem. Xp works fine for normal home pc use.....

I run 4.0NT/2000 at work and have XP Pro on the home computer. Had Windows Me and HATED it with a passion. In my opinion (Me) is the worst one they have constructed yet.

I use Windows XP Pro on my laptop and home PC but I am on Windows 98 SE at work. Trying to talk them into upgrading to Windows 2000.

Impossible to install anything without the admin authorisation uhh, yea, that's the idea.Personally, I think 2000 is the most stable, most reliable, and easiest to work with OS. My best friend has XP on his laptop and it took us hours to get it working the way we wanted. It just takes so long to figure out how to turn off all of the supposedly user-friendly features. Essentially, we tried to get his laptop to look as much like windows 2000 as possible.
