Thinking about getting a card to add cellular wireless connectivity and make my laptop a truely mobile office. Who has expererience with this to make sure I avoid the pitfalls? Looks like Verizon (my cell carrier) doesn't have good coverage for data around here. Cingular looks to have better coverage, but I had a bad experince with them that I don't place to repeat.... so any help anyone can lend will be appreciated.!

Well, generally Verizon has the better coverage EVERYWHERE I go. But that's just me.There's Verizon's BroadbandAccess / National Access. Looking at their maps, you have full digital coverage. Unfortunately they haven't rolled out EV-DO yet, so you're pretty much limited to about 200k speeds. At that rate, Verizon is on par with Cingular and T-Mobile's offers. So, just go with who you know has better coverage. I've had pretty good success with my Verizon V620 PC Card. Though I do reccomend getting an external antenna.
