A question for those of you who clean out your cabin air filters and use them again: How many times have you cleaned the original filter before it becomes unusable?

Yeah i wouldnt think reusing it for a long time would be good. Some mold or mildew crap has to grow in there and then spread into the cabin....eww id hate to see what mine looks like under a microscope

I replace mine every 6 months... and it's REALLY dirty then.If you replace it every year, I think $12 / year is worth it.

As long as you don't put it back in wet you shouldn't have a problem with mold. For extra messure give it alittle spray of lysol before you put it back in their.

I checked mine for he first time yesterday and it was D.I.R.R.T.Y. like Christina Aguilera. Quite a few dead leaves and maybe a bug or two. I kinda beat it against the curb a little bit to get the big chunks out then put it back. I then went upstairs and promply ordered a new one.

Welcome Vibe78! See this post and the best place to get them. The dealer is too much!
http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=11745For the filter recyclers; instead of recycling the filter, I would take it out completely before I were to recycle it.

As far as I know the 05 is the same as 03-04. You can call him and ask, I talk to him or his son everytime I order...
