The first day that I got my Vibe, a passing vehicle threw a rock up at me and now I have to get a cracked windshield fixed and was going to check how much tinting would cost for the back liftgate and passenger windows. Was wondering what other people have paid for this. I wasn't going to go completely limo dark, maybe something in between to try to make it harder to see in. Any experiences would be very helpful! Also looking at bug/stone deflectors and wondering what brands and where people got theirs. I love my Vibe so much, now I have the mod-ing bug!

Mine was $275 for 35% all around with full lifetime warranty against peeling, bubbling or fading. Make sure you get a warranty!

Mine also had a lifetime warranty and was 35% front, and 15% rear. It costed $150.

$125 difference between MN & AZ.

$50 all the way around, TJ! No warranty! So far so good after 2+ yrs!

Mine was $180 for 32% all around with a 4" banner on the windshield as well.

The guy who takes care of my tint charges $140 for most cars... 35% but he also does 15% for the same price I believe. The Vibe was $150 since I got the windshield strip as well, lifetime warranty and using great film. I skated by with $130 for my new car since I didn't need the windshield strip and he knocked off ten bucks for being a repeat (and satisfied) customer.

Priced my Vibe here in Nebraska, gonna cost me around $250 for all the windows and the strip at the top of the windshield. Lifetime warrenty and such.

Geez. So far the prices in the Midwest are both pretty steep

i live in IL right across the river from ST Louis and i got quoted approx. $275 to remove the tint i have and get 5% on all 5 of the back windows on my maxx. not too bad considering they have to remove all that crap first. i just paid $25 for the 5% 6" strip on my windshield.

I paid $216 for 10% all the way around and an 8in windshield strip(5%). I opted for the lifetime warranty service, but the sales rep explained that while the "lifetime warranty" means they will replace the tint for any defects, it also denotes a completely different kind of tint film that contains some sort of metal or something that keeps the tint from turning purple over time. Im not exactly sure what that means, but I hate that old faded tint look and it was only like, $30 more.

Mine was around $275 with the lifetime warranty too.

Update: I am getting mine tinted 25% on all rear windows on Aug 22nd for $175. Not too bad, comes with warranty. About $160 cheaper than next best price and in same city as I work, so much easier to deal with. Not getting the front windshield strip done, actually think this is illegal in Illinois, so not going to risk it.

Is it illegal to have tint up there or a complete blackout strip? I know in Hawaii you can have tint up there as long as it wasnt a complete blackout.

I did a little more research and found that in IL we can have a 6" strip on windshield. I was sure that the dealer said that was illegal. Here's a chart that I found with a listing of the state laws reguarding tinting. Hope this helps!http://www.doityourselftint.com/tintlaws.html

No problem man! I might actually get the windshield strip done. As I was driving home squinting, thinking dang it having that tinted up there might help some. lol! We'll see how much that adds to the cost. I've got too many bills right now...insurance due next month, car payment, credit card...jeez! If it's only $15-25 more I'll get it done, any more than that is too much!

Just got all 7 limo'ed in Tijuana today for $50!

$240 for all the windows, except the front, same tint as the "factory dark" tint rear window on my 2000 GMC Sierra.

It all depend's who you take it too. Friend had his Mit's Eclips done with life time warranty..... nuvibe
