I'm more then ready for a new ride.I went looking at a new Impala, but I'm not impressed by it for the price. So Driving down the road I seen a new Charger SRT8 sitting in front of the dodge dealer So I turn in for a better look.I decide to test drive the Charger R/T knowing I dont want the insurance payment the SRT8 will have.I have to admit that car is Sweet, but I also want to see the 300C.Has anyone heard about issue's with these cars.It now has been a week since driving the Charger R/T and it has been very hard staying away from the dealer. But like I said i do want to try out the 300C first. but if the salesman came to my door with papers in hand I don't think I would be able to let her leave with the car.(By the way during this past week the salesman has never contacted me amazing isn't it.)What do you all think I should buy?

before buying dodge, make sure you do a lot of research first! especially if it's used. the newer dodge/chrystler products are fairly reliable, but some of the older models had lots of engine and tranny issues.

Do not get the Charger SRT8 unless you like paying for fuel! The SRT8 has a 6.1L Hemi with no MDS! Yep, the mileage it gets is what it always will get and it is not good! Sure a sweet ride but I would not buy one for the above... Now the RT comes with MDS and if you can keep your foot out of the gas, it will get a little better mileage. 300's are nice indeed! What should you get? That all depends on you! You can get a 300 with a 3.8L V6 and that engine powers the 300 really pretty good! I took one up north with four people and luggage, it had plenty of power! I do not know of any issues and both have Mercedes designed components in them...

i want to cheer for the charger, but the design of the 300 is more refined. The enterior are the same on both cars. personally i don't like it. have you lookedat the grand prix GXP? i think it gets better MPG and available with steering wheel paddle shifer.

go for the 300c, its actually lighter than the charger and captures teh best of both worlds in terms of luxury and performance.

Wouldn't buy a Chrysler product if they paid me to (I get tired of replacing transmissions). But to each his/her own.

I'm not bashing your Torrent in any way here cuz i like them too, but a Pontiac Torrent = Chevy Equinox in the same way that a Pontiac G5 = Chevy Cobalt. They just slapped on a new front end on the Pontiacs, everything else is the same that the original Chevy's have. I wish they would at least put a more powerful engine in the Torrent, being that Pontiac is the so-called performance division, that'd make a killer car/suv/whatevercategoryitfallsin.

Congrats! you will be happy with buying a chevrolet product. Quote, originally posted by Pyro-Andrew »my Torrent isnt a chevy. yes it is. it is designed and funded by Chevrolet (General Motors) built by the CAW right next to an Equinox in a factory in Canada. the only difference are some parts that get bolted on the frame. same frame same radio same engine same transmission....

I hate to be a forum troll... but since this post is just my opinion, I'll come out and say it: walk away from the chryslers.#4 for a reason. And for a Torrent to not be a Chevy... well, true it's not, its a Pontiac. They're both GM products. However, we all bought Vibes instead of Matrix - many for the same reasons you didn't buy a Chevy equinox.
