Was wondering if anyone actually aswell built scale model cars aswell, I know it seems like a lost art but i have built since i was a litle guy and have enjoyed building with my father and a skill i hope to pass onto my son. I build mostly high end custom models and enjoy the realaxing time i have getting lost in my hobbie, was just curious if anyone actually still builds much ?

i don't built them. i used to collect 1:18 scale die cast. i've since stoppewd. it can be addictive and expensive. Your build looks amazing.

I have also collected many models and built maybe 2 basic ones. I then tried to build a very challenging BMW when I was around 10 yrs old, and screwed it up more than you could even imagine. lolHaven't built one since

yea i still collect 1:18 cars aswell i just need to get the GT-R Vibe i have the 1:64 scale from Matchbox (3 to be exact). but my most prizzed two are a 2000 PT Panel Super Bee Cruiser (Hot Wheels), and a 2001 Dodge Viper SRT/10 roadster black with silver stripes (bBurgo) and a few added items i did. naw you havnt see messed up untill you see my messed up 2000 silvarado pick up that thing stayied to gether for about 1 day then went to hell after. but the best one i did was a 1995 NASCAR replica of Ricky Rudd's Tide Thunder Bird, but it didnt hold up well while moving into our new house. but i need to get back into model cars instead of R/C cars.

Thanks actuallt they are quite challenging i guess thats what keeps them interesting plus i show them and its great to compete with them and be around other high end builders actually just got my 56 Chevy model in scale auto magazine was a big Dream to finally come true lol most of my builds take around 6-9 months to complete and really there not as expensive as you would thnk for a hobbie that stretches over a time of that many months usually hav around 100-150 $$$ in each one average but really worth to see peoples reactions here a photo of my 56 Chevy it has a custom built chassis and a viper V-10 motor lol hope you like later

i assummin that you airBrushed all of you models? i need to do that and go wild;)very Nice 56 love the Burgandy with Silver you should do that on your Pro stock project car. JMO

Thanks and yes the 48 will be burgundy like that not 2 toned and NO all my models are shot with Testors rattle cans beleive it or not just alot of prep work and fine micro polishing and buffing and most often many many mods heres one you'll get a kick out of this model actually started as a new mini cooper with a ton mods and about 7 months built time hope you like has a corvette motor and front and rear clip molded on

ha thats a great conversion you did "MiniVette" from BMW and GM never new the two could get along so well do you bondo the parts together or what?? howd you do that?? im really intreseted on getting into that sorta stuff. and the good old rattle cans thats what i have been using on my Micro RS4 lexan Bodies and it aint easy.

actually yes i use body filler green puty but you have to make many body mods and plastic boding and construction to get the body right sorta like a real car the process and use the filler to fill the seams not big holes but works well and takes alot of practice and primer and stepping before you even get to paint but when done and right its well worth it Thansk any other ?'s just hollar

thanks the willys was actually a delivery panel truck i transformed it into an extended cab lots of mods the trailer i molded 37 chevy fenders on etc alot of work. Heres one aswell with alot of work a 56 Mercedes Gull-wing i call the wingless flyer made it into a roadster and it has a nascar motor with twin turbos lol hope you like later

I collect 1/18 scale diecast cars but I have to admit building would be far more interesting and fun! I take the easy way out and buy but I also used to build as a teen... More fun to personalize the model when you build... I used to buy whatever I liked but the collection got out of hand. I have since sold some and gave some away and stick only to Corvettes now and have over 50 of them. Not every year Vette is made so the collection does not get out of hand now!

Man, nice work. I've delved a little into model building and all I can say is"WOW". I've always wanted to make an El Ranchero out of an early fox body Mustang. I got started once on the Indy Pace Car, But never finished it.

and last one is pretty custom it started out as a 40 ford delivery and has a willys front end and many many mods, I beleive that is it just wanted to share with everyone and let you knwo that people can build the car of there dreams "many of them" just dosent have to be a large one and actually be able to show them and compete i have doen really well showing over the last 6-7 years and it makes you a better builder being around other good builders and its nice now to see the cringes when them see you place your model on the table in there same class, lol good luck building and remeber toys are not just for kids ! later

love the PT cruiser and how it has a Type R type logo on the door.the prowler front end looks nice and slick and the dark brownish color fits the car perfectly!! awsome job youve done.

Those models are really well done . I build cars occasionally, but usually stick to my model railroad, which is quite enjoyable to mess around with and gives a LOT more leeway for mistakes than do cars.

Those are awesome I'd like to see what you could do to a vibe I've thought about getting some models to start but I hardly have any spare time as it is. I guess I'll just stick to making allready made cars look good (wallpapers/photoshop) Keep up the good work

I used to but haven't in years. I get so into putting them together that I end up with a completed yet unpainted model which of course... its to late to paint it lol...
