Has anyone added a bazooka tube sub woofer to a factory 6 disc. (non moom-tunes) system? How hard is it and is the $170 they go for a good deal?

Satur9 has a sweet set-up with a Bazooka tube mounted next to a NOS bottle. You should ask him about it.

They aren't hard to install, and as for being a good deal, they would work fairly well in the Vibe due to the hatchback design, but it's up to you if it's 'enough' for you.

I have a 10" DVC Bazooka tube.I had an old Alpine 3527 (25 x 4, 70 x 2 bridged). laying around that I hooked to the factory radio via speaker level inputs. At first I had an old Bose home audio sub hooked to it and it sounded OK, but didn't have the low bass I was looking for. I found the Bazooka for ~$130 shipped on
http://www.PriceGrabber.com and tried it.It certainly put out more bass, but still lacked the low bass I love. So, out of desperation I stuffed a couple of old t-shirts in the port of the tube and viola.... I had low bass. :DSince then I put the 10" sub in a box. It sounds the same but takes up a lot less room. Now, back in the day, I had an 8" Bazooka tube in my '92 Camaro and that thing had plenty of low bass. I don't know if the 10" is just too big for that tube design, or what, but the 8" IMO had better sounding bass.I'd use the 8" if I were to do it again.

Yeah, I connected my Bazooka to the M&T amp. Here is another thread I just responded a minute ago that has some relevent info:
http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=24410.I have an 8" amplified model and it provides plenty of bass for me. Mine is also what used to be their higher powered line, I'm not sure what they sell now since mine is over 7 years old. It doesn't take much space and I didn't have to drill a single hole to mount it. I connected it to the cargo track.
