Here's another cargo cover available on eBay. Looks darn good, but I don't know about spending $95 for it.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...65156

I can't get to Ebay from work. By hard cover do you mean it is completely flat? Unlike the stock cover which is just fabric/plastic and kind of hangs there.

Looks really nice... wouldn't mind having one, but I think that is pretty expensive.

Thanks for the pics, ZEG! I like the fact that you can put stuff on top of the cover if needed.

What I would really like is a roll up cargo cover. The one that came with the Vibe just isn't working for me. I find it too much of a pita to unhook it all the time, so I just have one side hooked now. Does anyone know if a roll up cargo cover exists for the Vibe?

just reminded me...i haven't posted a pic of my set up.i found 2 bungee cords that stretch nice and tight across the back between the chrome loops. I then put our horrible cover on top of the bungee cords. Making sure to take the little black hooks and set them up on the back of the cover. Now it just sits flat, covering what's in the back nicely, and i can lift up the front to get to whatever if i only open the glass!works very well. i'll post pics tomorrow as it's too dark now and there's a wicked thunderstorm going on!

It shouldnt be too hard to fabricate your own hardcover. I mean we all should already have the soft cover which would provide an excellent template to cut a piece of plywood, attach some fabric to it as well as some sort of mechanism to attach it to the 4 bungee hooks.

well it's about damn time!got some shots of the back of my car during lunch today.the bungees used (is that the correct plural of bungee? or should it be bungi? ) are 2 foot or 2.5 foot...they are a little elongated right now from being there for the last month or 2.they're the blue ones in the photo. You'll notice that the cover's back black clips (say that 3 times fast) are attached to the chrome loops. I had to do this as when it was sitting loosely on the bungee (bungi) and i had a back window open, the cover would actually levitate in the back and block the rear window. This also helps when i lift up the front of the cover when only using the rear window hatch. Not strong enough to put stuff ontop...but covers up anything in the back from those pesky prying eyes!

We'll definitely like to hear your opinion on it. The seller also makes cargo mats for the Vibe and they also look pretty good, IMO. Hope the same amount of skill goes into these.I need to finish up my new cover soon!

The cover was delivered by the post office today. Only took 10-15 minutes to install. Initial impressions are good. It's really solid and fits the cargo area perfectly. Will get some pics of it tomorrow along with an in-depth review.
