The original Sport package for the Vibe (mid and roof spoilers, front and rear fascia, side skirts) ran over $2000. I got 'em, but only because the car was discounted so well.$1500 for 17" wheels/tires, front&rear disc brakes, spoiler and custom paint might not be so bad, even if it all sizzle and no steak.

Dear Toyota,Your new "M-Theory" package sounds rather cute. I doubt, however, that anyone will buy into your "theory" when there are already many "M realities" on the market. Will yours be anything like this?Thank you for playing anyway. Your friends at BMW

wow, that's a great deal. $1,500 isn't bad at all, but there are a few things in that package that I could do without.

I really like the color, but it pretty much stops there. I'm having a lot of trouble with the name, it simply sounds goofy. Sounds like an ok package though, and will give a select few Matrix something all of their own to enjoy or brag about.

There is a segment of the population that will pay up just to be different; unique - whether it is designer clothing or limited (really limited) edition automobiles. The extra money manufactuers make from them may result in lower prices for the more "ordinary" versions.

Maybe I need new contacts, but doesn't that Matrix look "dropped"?Guess that's what they mean by "sport tuned suspension". Did I not suggest that as a possible change for the 2008 Vibe in this thread? "I say it here, and it comes out there."

I like the color and the rims. Will save judgement on the rear wing when I can see a better pic of it.

Thanks for blowing that sucker up, I was having a hard time seeing that tiny as pic! I assume, as is usually the case, when they say Sport-tuned suspension, it usually means dropped, probably with front and rear sways, and as it said, a STB as well.Other than that, "unique Speedway Blue paint, matching rear deck lid spoiler, a large chrome exhaust tip, M-Theory badges, 17-inch Caldina alloy wheels with P215/50R17 tires, four wheel disc brakes, logo floor mats, an individually numbered limited edition plaque, enhanced vehicle handling thanks to a standard sport tuned suspension and sport strut tower brace will also enhance vehicle handling all for (MSRP) of $1,500."To me that sounds like a pretty damn good deal and a great package for those who will end up modding it anyways! All you would need after that would be I/H/E. I'm sure the reason they aren't offered with the package is 1) sound, and 2) unavailability due to the new DBW. They probably just quite with the older style TB as far as the intake goes, and all of them would make it much louder which could detract from sales.

I hope Pontiac Puts out a symilar model. With the XRS's and GT's being discountinued, they have to have something for these customers.Id be nice if 4 wheel disk brakes was an option on all Vibes/Matrixes.

I've seen it twice. It definately looks like a "wave" color to me. but I thought that was only on '07 models??? All I know is I've never seen one that color before. It was close to that M-Theory color but not quite the same.

Had my first M-Theory sighting this morning. That color is Wave, isn't it? It looked horrible at first, very dull and just all kinds of nasty but I found as I got closer it was also covered in grime and bird crap. Just like the Wave Vibe I saw in similar disrepair. This is probably an OK color when CLEAN, but general skankiness doesn't seem to flatter it. The wheels do look really good. They really show off the calipers, which was the weird part - the fronts were status quo, the dingy, dull aluminum look. But the rear were all shiny, almost chrome-like. Not sure if that was intended or if the new hasn't worn off yet, whatever it was they looked good. It would have looked better if the front calipers would have matched the rear. The top-mounted spoiler was a bit odd, it looked like a big handle... Almost like someone tall enough can use it to push the car as if it were a fricken shopping cart Very odd. Thankfully it isn't too excessive, otherwise it would be pretty darn ricey. As it stands now, it is just borderline. I guess overall it isn't that bad for a Matrix. Still a stupid name though, IMHO.

i saw one of these about a month ago at the mall by my house and said to the girl drivin it "nice matrix". she jus gave me this blank look like i was speaking yiddish til i said "your car, it's nice." after that, i figured it would be pointless to tell her bout GV or MO, so i didn't waste my breath :lbut when i was in vegas visiting my lady over the weekend, my girl and i saw one sittin in a parking lot across the street from a drive thru we were in and told her to go across the street so i could check it out up close. and of course i hit it w/ a GV card, so we'll see what happens
