What is the Black Thing Above the Rear Window?

In my 06 Vibe base, there is a small rectangular black plastic piece (about 1 inch by 2 inches) in the center (that is, centered from left to right) on the rear hatch just above the hatch glass. It has two small holes in it. What is that for?

naw you all have it wrong its a rear view camera so when your backing out or tryin to see behind you, you have no more blind spots.
