Hello forum members, Quick question what kind of antiafreeze does the vibe take. I will be getting my 2005 red vibe today and I was just wondering if it takes this extended like antifreeze or nor just the normal stuff? Also how will have to wait before I start thinking about getting a radiator flush? I don't need to worry about a tranny flush do I?thanks,Benny

only 30,300 or there about! Supposeably the dealership already serviced the vehicle and that good stuff.

Tranny should be fine till 50,000 under normal driving conditions.The Antifreeze should be fine as well. However, you don't know how hard it was driven by the previous owner. If I were to buy a used car I would get everything changed and flushed. It will be spendy but you will then know exactly where everything is at. Can you get the dealership to change everything out as part of the sale?

I would have them check both before you pick it up and see if they know when everything was last changed/flushed. If they did it make sure to get it in writing/receipt of what they did and when they did it for your records. So your a$$ is covered in case something happens.

Your vibe will use Dexcool, which is GM antifreeze....should be flushed for good measure every 30000 miles...even though GM may say something different....dexcool likes to turn to jello when left for too long....
