I've bought a "Pontiac" logo keychain from a guy in Canada, and a spare keyless remote key fob. Both have been very good transactions. ALWAYS check the seller's feedback!- Earl

quote:ALWAYS check the seller's feedback!- EarlDefinately good advice.I haven't purchased any mechanical things or stickers. I purchased most of my stickers from GrafxWerks. I did buy this keychain though: I thought it was going to be more blue, but it still looks pretty cool.

I hope you didn't pay too much for that keychain. It was given away free at the Vibe Clinics like the one I went to in Tarrytown NY.

No. Didn't pay but a couple of dollars for it. The seller said that he got it at an auto show in Atlanta which means he got it for free. I wasn't going to pay a whole lot for it, but for a couple of dollars, it was worth it to me. They weren't giving away anything like that at the NAIAS in Detroit.BTW, cool kit they gave you.

I was joking actually. I've used eBay alot to get stuff for the house that my wife wants. All have been good sales. I just find automotive sellers a little dishonest (or ignornat of correct information) when selling parts. I'm always looking at Nova parts and correcting sellers who list incorrect information. The ones that (removed) me off the most are people who claim "rare" about a part when it isn't or call it an "SS" part. For example: "An SS Nova ashtray" Well, maybe it did come from an SS Nova but the standard Nova ashtray is the exact same thing and the part is no more valuable because it came in an SS originally. SS-specific parts are more valuable but not ordinary stuff used on non-SS cars. Here is a "calimed" SS steering wheel however it's missing the "SS" emblem in the center horn button (this wheel was first used in Nova in 1972 and was optional on non-SS cars):
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... =33704This is a real SS wheel:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... =33704Here are two more examples. The "claimed" SS tach dash, console and gauges were not part of the SS package but were available optionally on any V8 Nova (SS and non-SS):
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... =10076Here is a "calimed" SS however the VIN indicates a non-SS car:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... gory=61721 = ChevroletX = Nova27 = 2-doorH = L65 350 2-bbl engine2 = 1972L = Van Nuys, CA assembly plant100861 = VIN sequence numberSince all 1972 SS Novas came with the L48 350 4-bbl engine (VIN code K) this can't be a real SS because the VIN shows the L65 350 2-bbl engine (VIN code H).

I am a firm believer in Ebay!!! I have been buying stuff on there for years. As cheesy as it is--I bought my wedding dress on ebay. It was brand new--paid two hundred for it--it was $1200 at the bridal shop. Same exact dress... Even better--I sold it on ebay 2 months after my wedding for $275...So basically--somebody paid me to have a beautiful wedding dress..And no--I didn't ask for more than I paid for it--I had the reserve set at $75.00. Lucky me!!!!
