I did a search and saw this threadhttp://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=22530but doesnt look like anyone had a final cure.Any comments.05 Vibe-automaticSo far, the squeak only happens when I go for a drive, come to a halt and then exit the car. The squeak seems to come from the front left side as I step out of the car. So, there is less weight on the suspension.Any pin point ideas? Thanks

Does this happen when you use your parking brake? My 03GT has a squeek too, and my dealer said it was the parking brake and there wasn't anything that could be done about it.

I never use the parking brake

No, I rarely use the parking brake. It happens after I open the door, put one foot on the ground and the body seems to have a squeak from the front or like its a spring creak.

did you put aftermarket springs in? maybe a spring isnt seated right or a cv joint leaked the lube and is squeeking...

unless it is from the springs in the seat itself....there is a known issue with that prob........have then in the front and back seats.

Could be struts, bushings, lots of things... Do this, Open the hood and push down on the drivers side front corner to try and duplicate it...

Hey guys I just took my car to Toyota and they have found that the gasket around the exaust manifold is the cause of my squeak and yes my sqeak comes on the same way...just getting out of the car and the sqeak is not present when the ebrake off. It is costing me 250CAN to get it replaced and fixed and just as an FYI Vibe Manifold gaskets are not the same as the Toyota versions so you have to buy it from GM from talking to the dealer, they are the same price. Now I am actually at home waiting to pick up my car. I will give y'all the skinny when I get my car to see if it solves the problem.Cheers!Spyder

And I thought that the Vibe squeaking was the car's subtle way of telling me that I need to start going to the gym........Mine's squeaked since new.....I'm used to it now.

well if your car is still under warrenty...I would bring it in. nothing is suppose to squeak. as I said mine had a worn out gasket around the exaust that was the problem. and not that is is fix...not one sqeak or rattle:)Spyder

I'm out of warranty, so I'll live with the squeak.
